Otters' Green B&B

I booked a stay at Otter's Green but had to cancel due to a change in circumstance, so didn't make the trip in the end. However, I still wanted to leave a review as Jean was so lovely throughout the booking process and was extremely accommodating when speaking to her on the phone about my planned trip. If I need to travel that way again I will definitely be booking a stay as Jean's service was excellent.

Greeting from host was lovely, room 2 was okay (bed was a bit soft for me), shower lovely, wifi in room was good. Nice to have seating area outside room and under cover. Breakfast room was quirky and loads of choice for breakfast. Places to eat out in evening in town.

We have just returned home after a 4 night stay. We chose the chalet as it was close to family and allowed dogs and what a good choice it was. It was like staying in a fairy house in the woods but with all the modern comforts to make it an enjoyable stay. Jean had thought of everything to make you comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfy and warm. There were even hot water bottles for those extra cold nights, although the heaters made it so cosy we didn't need them. The tea tray provided had so many extras on it we could relax after a 9 hour drive and didn't need to venture out until the morning. She had even provided for the dogs. We will definitely return to this delightful accommodation in beautiful Botley. Thank you Jean for making us and our 2 dogs feel so welcome.

I had the pleasure of recently staying in the cabin in the woods! This was the most delightful of places and was so well equipped. I arrived to find goodies in the fridge and all the mod cons we could have wished for. Beautifully furnished and incredible comfortable. My dogs were welcome and there was a lovely garden area to walk them in. Jean our host was so lovely to deal with. There is nothing negative I can say about this place and I will definitely book again next year. Highly recommended :)

Otter’s Green was an oasis after a long haul flight from Australia. Jean was very welcoming and made sure I had all I needed. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast each morning in the Granary offered quite a few choices. Very quiet and lovely gardens. Thank you Jean for making me feel so welcome and looking after me so well. I look forward to staying at Otter’s Green n the future.

We stayed at Otters Green for 3 nights before leaving on a cruise. Although the B&B is just off a busy road, we really couldn't hear the traffic once we were on the property. The lay out of the property is lovely - 3 rooms laid out next to one another, with private baths, private entrances, and just across from the breakfast room, The Granary. The gardens are lovely and there are fields beyond. Jean, our hostess, was a delight! We knew in advance that the B&B was off a busy road, and once we were there, Jean told us where to go to cross that road more easily. Breakfast was continental style with many options. We had a kettle in the room and could get milk for tea from the fridge in the Granary. Otters Green is a short walk into the village of Botley - we had a lovely dinner at the Indian restaurant. It's also a short drive to the nearby retail park (we picked up picnic items from Marks and Spencer and Tesco), and a bit further on the motorway to Southampton, so it was an ideal place for us to stay before our cruise.
