Stayed one night to explore Castro urdialies en route to ferry home. About 15 min walk along the sea front to downtown where the action is. Room fine with tea and coffee facilities (rare for Spain) and was ‘standard decent chain’ quality. Staff all friendly. We were able to park directly outside the hotel (€9) but this was low season. Didn’t pay for breakfast as it seemed expensive and there were several cafés offering breakfast less than 2 min walk away in the little local centre. A good base to enjoy the tapas delights of Castro Urdialies

The Bilbao Holiday Inn Express had helpful, friendly staff and great checkin. The room and bed and pillows were better than I expected. But in the morning I found bites on my faces and hands. They may have been from a spider, but for sure they came from a pest. I was there to deliver a presentation at a conference. I itched, and the swelling was obvious. I hope the management sprayed that hotel. I complained to a nice staffer at the desk. I said, their ad promised to make things right if the hotel was not clean. No, there was no compensation. I might try this hotel again. But I am bringing DEET to spray it first. Bilbao is a lovely city.

Fabulously clean, cute and cutting edge accommodations. Reception was friendly, multi-lingual and efficient. This is a nugget hotel, so not a lot of thrill. The lobby was on the small side but inviting. There’s an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet one can purchase (I did not) two elevators take you right upstairs. The hallways are cheeky and sweet. The room was small but as a touristy traveler that was fine. I don’t want to be in a hotel room. I’m out exploring. The bed was very comfortable and the whole room was spotless. Toilet and shower are separate which is helpful if there are two in the room. Highly recommend this place.

The location is really a bit biased, but there is also a commercial package next to it that is OK. The quality of the hotel's service, breakfast, and the internal environment are very good. There is a subway within a 15-minute walk, and it’s fast to the center of Bilbao. Next time I go on a business trip, I’ll change to a closer location, but it’s good for a vacation. You can stay in the hotel for a whole day, hahahahaha

Decided on this hotel as it was close to the airport. Check in at the hotel was fine and a quiet room allocated as there was a wedding that day. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom but very stuffy and unfortunately the air con not working, the reception team did find a fan but really you would expect air con as a minimum in a hotel of this standard . We had breakfast in our room on morning of departure and have to say this was first class , couldn’t have asked for better and it arrived exactly at the it was ordered for. We would use this hotel again if visiting the area.
