East Beach Hotel

A return coach holiday visit. I think my fourth visit. This hotel is beautifully clean,there are really good choices of food,all cooked well. I was given room 31 with a view of the sea and pier,beautifully clean,great shower/ bathroom,wardrobe,double bed and ample tea and coffee. Great working staff,Sarah and the girls,all so pleasant and cheerful. The hotel has a lift,lovely sitting room and conservatory,all with lovely decor. The town is easily walkable,great shows at the Hippodrome and bus stops outside.

Just returned from spending a couple of days at the East Beach Hotel. Really lovely hotel. Nice lounge downstairs to relax in and a conservatory where we had our breakfast as well as a lovely dining room. The hotel felt really homely and very well presented. We’d booked a king size room with sea view and were so pleased when we saw our room. The room had a nice balcony (directly opposite the beach) where we watched the world go by. During the night we could hear the waves lapping on the beach…wonderful! We would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the staff were very lovely and accommodating, the location is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. The hotel is clean, and the breakfast was good. When I arrived, the staff kindly upgraded me to a larger room, which was a wonderful gesture. However, there were some issues related to noise. The room I was given was next to the reception and right beside a public hotel toilet. The toilet doors are loud meaning that I could frequently hear people going in and out of it. Additionally, I could hear chatter from the reception, mostly in the mornings when guests were checking out, which woke me up every day. My room had a street view and was located next to a generator, which was loud if I opened the window. Creaky floor meant that I could also hear the people above my room. Before my arrival, I received a form where I requested a room away from the elevator (to avoid any noises). Perhaps I should have explained clearly that my priority was a quiet room. The sink in the bathroom is too low and narrow, it difficult to use without crouching or sitting on the toilet. Additionally, the TV was too small to see comfortably from the bed. There is a wall opposite the bed where a larger TV could be easily installed. Overall it was still good value for money, especially over a bank holiday weekend.

A large group (over 30) from our local horticultural society have just spent 5 days visiting gardens in Kent and East Sussex. We were based at the East Beach Hotel in Eastbourne and would highly recommend! Not only is it located in an ideal spot on the promenade with lovely sea views but it is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable throughout! The staff are all friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The dining room is comfortable and the menu varied and all served by Sarah and her lovely girls! Thank you to Heidi, Sarah and co., for helping to make our trip so enjoyable!

Lovely sea view room, great view of the sunrise and pier. Clean room and shower, comfy bed in a well designed room maximizing the space. A very filling full English breakfast served by the very helpful Sarah and Ola in their conservatory area overlooking the sea. Thank you

Glorious 2 day visit! I had been there pre-pandemic! It is even better now!! Breakfast would last one all day! For those who like to eat out,the excellent Marine Pub is a minute's walk ( no TV); the Crown and Anchor is about 5 minutes away - it has dedicated sports room,but the main bar is mute! I would strongly advise would-be visitors to ring the hotel directly: I was given a bargain which undercut the rates on offer elsewhere! You will not be disappointed with Eastbourne Beach!!

Booked this as temporary accommodation whilst moving. Looking for 'cheap and cheerful' and pleasantly surprised to find the hotel in good order - room recently decorated and sparkling clean. The full English breakfast is great and the service staff are very pleasant and efficient. Great value for money!!
