Some of the 5* reviews for this place are fake and lie about the true condition of the hotel. My friends and I had the displeasure of staying here. The hotel itself is not of good standard despite it's high reviews. Please don't stay here unless you hate yourself and wish harm on yourself in the form of rude treatment, poor parking, bad breakfasts, horrible rooms and a poor night's sleep. I seriously would not recommended anyone stay here, if you do... good luck

Definitely not recommend to anybody, there is no place for the costumer it self. First of all, it's parking. We couldn't find any space near the hotel and the information on the booking is "Hotel has parking". The owner explained that you could park on the street, which means there is a lie in the description of the ad. From the beginning of our stay, the owner was rude, and unprofessional and had an explanation for everything even about parking. You can feel there as a customer you are not important, only rights have the owner and you need to accept this. Even situation at breakfast, where the woman went to make tea, she was treated as if she doing something wrong and couldn't even explain because the owner already knew he was right. It left really unpleasant feeling. Poor quality of food and tomatoes from a can.

We had decided on a three day break on the south coast. Two years earlier we'd had a good visit to Eastbourne. Decision made, Eastbourne it was to be. We found the Reymar, close to where we'd stayed before so booked it for three nights check in Tuesday and check out Friday. We arrived after the check in time. Parking was a little challenging as there weren't a lot of spare spaces. But it was free, so no real issue. The Reymar is situated on a road the joins the promenade road so it's ideally located. We had room 1 which is a large ground floor room with views to the sea. The room and facilities were very good and as expected. They provide a very good cooked breakfast and a selection of other items. Very good. Set us up nicely for the days. Nick the host was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a lovely time. Got to walk from Birling Gap to The Beachy Head pub for a late lunch on the sunny day. We had some rain, but England in September!!! We would happily stay with Nick again. Thank you Nick and the Team...

The man that we saw on arrival flew through the rules so quickly we felt bombarded. No smile of welcome, we felt like we were an inconvenience. Room was very small, shower and toilet tiny and hand basin next to the bed! Breakfast was average. Will not be returning

Rude welcome and rude staff. We arrived early to drop our bags off, we were left on the doorstep and door closed while the member and staff went to check on the phone with the owner. This seemed strange as I was sure I'd already messaged the property about this. Anyway we left our bags after the member of staff couldn't get hold of the owner but I assured them we ok'd this. I later saw I had numerous missed calls from the property and and they were calling again. I then had a very rude call from Nick saying to get back to the hotel and pick up the bags as they couldn't keep them, said we hadn’t okay’d this with him and he had an event there later. I assured I wouldn’t book it that were the case. He was very irate and went through messages, etc and even read out ones from other guests. He insisted when I arrived I said I'd spoken to him Nick and mentioned him by name which I didn't and if the person the answered asked if I spoke to Nick then likely I'd have said yes I okay'd this with someone. He then went on to say he watched everything on his ring doorbell and I was lying. He agreed to call me back in 10 mins so I could find the messages. I couldn't find it at this stage and when he rang back he agreed to keep the bags as they were there but hoped we didn't want to leave them on check out too (we they paid to leave them in the Premier Inn at for £15 on the check out date). I did find the message from the hotel confirming we could leave the bags. It was sent just before I made the booking so clearly I didn't book till I had this confirmation. When we got back to the hotel and I wanted to show this to Nick he completely had changed his tune and said he believed me and didn't need to show it. He also mentioned something we said about cobwebs on the ring doorbell too. I cant give any extra start as after that the kettle was leaking, small tv had no reception and shower was either too hot or cold, nothing in between.

Just returned from a 3 night stay with my Son. Fantastic place to stay, from Check in to Check out, Staff were all friendly and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was brilliant and both cooked and continental available. Rooms were en-suite and very clean. Situated across the road from the beach. Cant wait to return. Well Done Nick and the Team.
