Great Divide Motor Inn

Guests praised the clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location near amenities. Some highlighted the comfy beds, good shower pressure, and well-maintained pool.

We made a direct booking online and were greeted on arrival by a friendly but very over-zealous temporary Manager, Tanya, who throughout our very short stay, sang her own praises with comparisons as to how a motel and its staff should be managed. This instantly made us feel uncomfortable. Our room was pleasant though quite dated. Beds dip to one side but are comfy as long as you stay on the upside. The bathroom is modern and appeared newly renovated however, there seems to be some drainage issues as water continued to pool if showering longer than 1 minute. There was nowhere to hang the hand towel in the bathroom and face washers were not provided. The free Wifi connection was good but there were no convenient power points at the desk area to plug into which is frustrating when needing to work. As it was very hot during our stay, we had hoped to hang out by the pool and enjoy a swim after a day of sightseeing, but the area was unkempt; the lawn was over-grown and the outdoor furniture rusted and placed directly outside someone else's room, so we gave it a miss. Overall, our stay was OK but we were disappointed, especially given all the rave reviews on other sites. Obviously, we just didn't experience what others did.

We recently spent two nights here for an event in Toowoomba. Located at the eastern end of town, convenient is travelling from Brisbane. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. There were no dining facilities available, but several good cafes within a very short walk. Would definitely stay here again.
