This hotel is in a great location for the retail park. The rooms are basic but really clean and bed was comfortable, couldn’t really ask for much more. What really made the hotel though was the incredible customer service received by John, this man went the extra mile to make sure everyone was looked after and it is obvious just how much he cares about his job and his guests. Thank you John for a lovely stay.

Hotel is in a great location for retail park and restaurants. Rooms are basic but spacious and very clean. John on reception could not be more helpful, friendly and has time for everyone. An asset to Travelodge, hope they appreciate this member of staff.

Usually you know what your getting with a Travelodge - but I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic service and had the honour to be greeted by the lovely John on check in! He was incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending the nearby restaurants and how to get to them. We had a lovely chat and I went up to my room with a smile on my face. I'd stay again just to have another chat with him! The rooms were also very clean and it was very quiet even despite being on the main road. There's a great selection of restaurants and shops nearby and a lovely view of the lakes just down the footpath. I stay in similar hotels nearly every weekend for work and this was one of the nicest experiences I've had!

Good location for Santapod and you can walk 5-10 mins to the shopping centre nearby for a good selection of restaurants and bars. I would stay again next time I go to Santapod

My husband and I arrived at the hotel at 17.58 and the reception was unmanned. There was a note saying to ring reception which we did. There was also a telephone number that it said to contact and as we received no response from ringing the reception bell we rang that number The lady answered and I explained we had arrived at Wellingborough but the reception was unmanned and we had been waiting about 10 mins. She became very aggressive and said she was on the toilet nd hadn't been ten minutes. I didn't pursue the matter as it was somewhat irrelevant however when she arrived she came into the reception and immediately started raising her voice saying there is no way we'd been there ten minutes. I said it didn't matter but I had no reason to lie. She would not let it rest even addressing my husband in the same highly charged manner. She was rude beyond belief. I was at no time rude to her nor did I raise my voice. The whole episode has left me very upset and ruined what was ssupposed to be a pleasant stopover. We have stayed in Travelodge here before as well as other locations and have only ever had reason to write positively. It is such a shame this woman has made this a very very negative experience hence my complaint which ofcourse will reflect in my review. I trust you will look into this matter. I accept people have off days and we never know what going on behind the scenes but in the hospitality business staff should be taught to not take their frustrations out on paying guests.

Slept like a baby and my room smelled lovely, can't wait to go back after the refurbishment,,I will be visiting Wellingborough every 6 weeks for the foreseeable future and this will be my choice, the location is great as there is a massive shopping centre just a 3 minute walk away with lots of places to eat too,i only met 2 staff members and they were both lovely, highly recommended

Travelodge Wellingborough Rushden is very conveniently located off the A45 with its own free car park. It takes less than five minutes to walk to the wide range of eateries, shops and entertainment venues at Rushden Lakes, where there's also an attractive boardwalk giving access to a lovely nature reserve. The rooms at this Travelodge are clean and well equipped. Ours was at the back, which meant we couldn't hear the traffic, and nearby trees added to the privacy. All of that is great, but what we particularly appreciated were the welcoming smiles, friendly words and helpfulness of the staff.

The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The staff was cheerful, friendly and helpful. I had a really good night rest as my room was at the back and it was very quiet. There isn't a restaurant at the hotel but there are several nice restaurants at the nearby Rushden Lakes which is only 5 minutes walk away. Booking the room in advance meant that I paid a good price for it. I would be returning soon.

Room was clean and tidy, but very basic (as expected). Facilities in need of some updating but okay at the price point. No airconditioning and ventilation limited (bathroom gets very steamed up). The surrounds of the hotel are not particularly pleasant. There is a closed done restaurant at the front which is boarded up, and someone is living in a caravan in the car park.
