Margo Beach Hotel

Lovely small hotel. Very quiet when we stayed but still received fantastic service and wonderful breakfast

Stayed at Margo Beach Hotel for a big family reunion trip. The location is wonderful - right on the beach with an easy drive into town. The resort is beautiful, rooms were clean and VERY spacious. Never had to fight over the beach loungers, there were plenty. There were a few quirks, like only receiving ONE key card that controls electricity in a 2 bedroom, 5 person suite... we are not always together and it was a pain to try to pass the key back and forth. And saying the suite is an ocean view was a biiiiiiiit of a stretch. More like ocean peep. But, really, the showstopper is the staff. So friendly, so accommodating of our large and boisterous extended family, always extending nice hospitality. George at the bar was so sweet, and George at breakfast was such a treat. I miss his cheerful "KALIMERA!!!!" each morning. Breakfast itself was spectacular - 4 kinds of eggs, breakfast meat, fresh squeezed OJ, beautifully soft croissants, cheese pie, custard, yogurt with local honey, tiganethes and on and on... oh, and their Greek Salad was the best I had on the entire trip. We're home now, and I actually miss this place... that says it all!

Excellent customer service by the staff at Margo beach resort. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Management onsite really appreciated everyone who came into Margo beach resort.My family and I were very pleased with the beautiful beach views which was directly opposite our room. George the attendant who looked after breakfast always had a smile on his face and provided a warm welcome to my family every morning. All staff worked very well together they made us feel like family. The bar attendant George made exceptional cocktails and mocktails for the kids. The Greek bar vibes were superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we asked questions and they found the answers. There were a number of George working there as a very common name in Greece all amazing staff couldn’t be faulted in any way.

Really lovely, modern beachfront hotel. Stayed here as a family of four during September. Slightly windy during our stay so going to the beach was not on the cards, but stay was absolutely beautiful. Enjoy some delicious cocktails at their bar, breakfast was incredible with views over to the beach, all staff was amazing (spoke English moderately well) and only a short distance to the vibrant main town. Had a fantastic stay here and will be back again.

The new hotel looks very nice from the outside and is close to the beach; you must just cross a dirt road. Parking is also possible along this road. Reception at the hotel was friendly. We were not happy with the very dark room on the ground floor of one of the houses which was given to us for our two-days’ stay. The only view you had were a few bushes right outside the room where there was a little terrace. This was a room with a so-called “garden view”. As nobody was there at check-in who had the authority to change our room we stayed in it in the end not wanting to waste time till somebody of authority turns up. Apart from being very dark the room was large and included a kitchen. There were a lot of electrical outlets which are often insufficient in hotel rooms. The small TV was not mounted on the wall and its position was uncomfortably low if you watched from the bed. The Wi-Fi worked without problems. The bathroom was very small for a 4-star hotel. While the size of the shower was OK the washbasin was really tiny. Breakfast at the hotel was very good but there was no buffet. You had to order from a list which offered a large variety of food. The breakfast terrace was nice as it provided a view of the sea. The young lady serving us was very friendly. If you compare the Margo Beach with other 4-star hotels in the area the price-performance ratio is not very good especially as the hotel does not offer an outdoor pool.
