Another visit to the crossbasket for family sunday lunch Again the food was of a 5 star standard The waiting and ancillary staff were 1st class even although the dinning room was packed All 4 maals were off a very high standard enjoyed by everyone.

My wife and myself had a lovely lunch for my 78th birthday at the Cross Castle Hotel. The food was superb and the staff as usual were just lovely. But unfortunately when leaving my wife who was completely sober tripped on a short step just outside the front door causing her to fall heavily down the flight of stairs and landing on her face causing multiple cuts and bruising, she was convinced that her nose was broken but luckily it seems to have just been heavily bruised, I remember on arrival that I caught my foot on the same step. My concern is that this may not have been the first time this has happened on those steps so take care. Many thanks to the girls for the help given to my wife on this occasion.

Well where do I begin! My friend and I had such a lovely afternoon at the castle enjoying afternoon tea today 04/03/25. From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty by all the lovely staff we encountered. The afternoon tea itself was exquisite in such a beautiful room, beautiful savouries, sandwiches, scones and cakes. Plus your choice of teas and coffees. Certainly,a hidden gem for us. We thought we were in Downton Abbey!! What a lovely experience. Thank you to everyone we met today.

We went to the Michel Roux lunch. There was coffee and shortbread first. They had no milk and the staff seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable to tell us that ‘the milk gets delivered later’. The hotel never fails to disappoint. It is the most beautiful building, a lovely setting and tastefully decorated but the management is always a disgrace. The last time I was there I asked for more butter and the waiter brought it in his hand - wrapped in foil but nevertheless. Michel Roux was entertaining, as always, but the chicken when served was just dry, function chicken with some of his sauce on the side. Such shame they can’t get it right

Amazing experience in Crosscastle. We received an upgrade to a large room which was beautiful. The service in Crosscastle is better than I’ve ever experienced, the staff could not do enough for us. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. I don’t normally write reviews, but people need to know how brilliant Crosscastle is!

We stayed in the Mckintosh Double room. The room is vast in size with a massive bathroom. There is an oversized tub and shower. The room has a large wardrobe. The restaurant offers room service and the food is very good. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Just back from our Valetine Dinner with the Crossbasket’s Team. The night was wonderful and the staff were exceptional. The welcome one was great as always the ambience was excellent and the food was super tasty. A big shout out to front and back of house staff you are amazing we are grateful to call you our friends. We are both regulars at the castle and have never had a bad experience Regards Joe and Charlotte x❤️😀❤️

We have just returned from an excellent weekend break at this hidden gem. From start to finish the stay food and service was perfect. The room was spacious and well equipped. Lunch Dinner Breakfast all perfect. I am sure we return again for another stay.
