Another visit to the crossbasket for family sunday lunch Again the food was of a 5 star standard The waiting and ancillary staff were 1st class even although the dinning room was packed All 4 maals were off a very high standard enjoyed by everyone.

We stayed in the Mckintosh Double room. The room is vast in size with a massive bathroom. There is an oversized tub and shower. The room has a large wardrobe. The restaurant offers room service and the food is very good. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from an excellent weekend break at this hidden gem. From start to finish the stay food and service was perfect. The room was spacious and well equipped. Lunch Dinner Breakfast all perfect. I am sure we return again for another stay.

A lovely stay Comfortable rooms and classy Xmas decorations- really friendly staff and a proper breakfast. It’s delightfully luxurious without being intimidating and perfect place for a wedding Only problem we had was that it was only for one night- wish it had been longer

Afternoon tea was amazing, surroundings beautiful and staff just the best. For a treat it was second to none. The walks in the grounds are stunning, a lovely way to finish the afternoon. I would recommend this to anyone. Excellent for couples or families

An intruder entered the gatehouse while we were asleep through the patio door at the bedroom leading to the hot tub. This was caught on cctv. Thankfully they did not harm us - they stole a phone from the bedside table. This incident left us completely shocked. However the general managers attitude to the event has only served to compound our distress. It is allegedly our own fault that someone came into our room during the night. He did not even offer an apology for our horrendous experience. Please be aware, if you are booking the Crosshouse hotel, do not book the gatehouse as you are putting yourself at risk.

Top notch staff, food and decor! Highly recommend. Outstanding experience. We stayed for 4 nights in the Tower Suite. It was wonderful and everything was perfect. We had exceptional service from everyone (I would list the names but afraid I might leave someone out). The food was elevated British with a French influence, and the staff makes you feel transported in time. Be prepared that there are no lifts and the Lindsey Tower Suite is 4 floors of winding castle steps. Probably not the room to book with any mobility challenges. Highly recommend Crossbasket Castle - priceless experience!

I hadn’t heard of this place until recently and wow what a find . A beautiful castle nestled in immaculate grounds. We were very warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and shown into the sitting room for our champagne afternoon tea. We were served a glass of delicious champagne each and left to peruse the extensive tea menu , personally I chose the Chai wellness tea which was lovely. The offering consisted of finger sandwiches with varied fillings , sliced sausage rolls , coronation chicken balls , fruit and plain scones , jam cream and a selection of delicious small cakes.We couldn’t finish it all and the staff boxed up the leftovers to take home . My daughter brought her new baby along and he was also warmly welcomed by the lovely staff.We were so relaxed we even sat on a bit which was no problem. All in all a wonderful relaxing experience , and a lovely afternoon spent with family , with excellent service in a stunning location . It is a little more expensive than most but well worth it as a special treat , would definately recommend and we hope to return very soon .Thank you .
