Friends were telling me that location was an issue but I didn’t find it a hassle cos I could just hop on Grab to go anywhere. When I arrived I was greeted by the guard and the front desk personnel. Unfortunately I didn’t remember their names but they were the nicest people I’ve ever met in Jakarta. Hotel room was great although there were issues with the AC, the night duty personnel was quick to resolve the issue by giving me another room. I didn’t even have to go to the lobby to get this arranged. The staff came up and gave me a card to another room. Breakfast was a little disappointing as they didn’t refill the food in a timely manner but I wasn’t too worried cos I could just order food from somewhere else. I did feedback to them about the breakfast and the duty manager was quick to compensate me with a later check out on my next visit. I didn’t expect this but it was good to know that they care for their guests. Overall, the hotel did a great job. It was beyond my expectation. I would come back to this place again!

For next trip will stay again. Room is nice and surrounding has many resto and food.

Decent room in terms of cleanliness and size it's suitable for business travelers. Great service from the staff starting from security to receptionists to housekeepers. I really had a great time staying at Holiday Inn Express Matraman. The only downside on the other hand was the breakfast. The food was not delicious. Staff working at the restaurant were nice however the food was disappointing in my opinion.

Booked this hotel so that it is near Halim Whoosh station; bed is comfortable but pillows are too soft; provided bedroom slipper and Dove body wash & shampoo; free breakfast comes with room but variety is very limited; overall experience and cost are acceptable for 1 night stay

Check in the hotel quite fast. The staff checked me in around 1pm..Good service!! I enjoyed the stay and breakfast. Will return again in future…

I have stayed in this hotel for approximately 5 times or more, my rate would be 8.5/10 considering the price, location, facilities and staff hospitality. This was the first time I got a room with a connnecting door. I didn’t like it when I found out that the door was not locked, though it couldn’t be opened from another room. The room was spotless most of the time. Then I was a bit disappointed when I found a small insect on the carpet.

The night receptions was not very helpful, when we checked in, our key card had a problem getting into the lift so we couldn't go up. Then he used his master card to access the upper floors. We asked him how we would get into the room if our key card didn't work? He said, it's just a problem with the lift key card not the room, even though it's on the lift access but we need the access renewed. When we arrived at the door, the card could not open the door. We had go to lobby again to get a new room key card. There was no apology from the reception staff at that time.

I have stayed at this hotel many times already, almost every time I visit Jakarta. So far, very reasonable price with good quality.

Great Hotel, good size room and comes with breakfast. There are also a gym and laundry. There are many eateries and convenient stores around the hotel.
