I'll stay here again! I suffer from Fibromyalgia. There are three disabled parking spaces a short distance from the lift, which you don't need a room key to use. Staff in Reception very kind and patient. There weren't enough glasses and towels for my family, and no telephone in the room, but the Receptionist didn't mind me calling down on my mobile and her popping them up to me. Shower is easy to use and water was nice and hot with good pressure. The reason for the 4/5 is due to staffing levels at breakfast in the pub across the car park. I took advantage of 'kids eat breakfast free with a full paying adult' each morning of our stay. You choose your cooked food and help yourself to everything else, which is very difficult when disabled but I couldn't wait to be served; waited nearly 10 minutes to be seated one morning. They only have two waitresses for a hotel with over 200 rooms.

Staying in the Premier Inn next door, we took dinner. Service was friendly and perfectly OK. Food was pretty ordinary. Prawn cocktail better than average. Salt and pepper squid cooked properly, but in “old” oil that left a smell/taste. This unfortunately was true of the fish, cooked on the same old oil. Mushy peas were very dry and not very good. Chsicken and ham pie a bit overdone so the pastry was rather hard on the fringes. Puddings ok. We ate everything as we hadn’t eaten all day, but left thinking that with a bit more attention to detail the food might have been more appealing. The heating went off part way through our meal - you could tell as it rapidly got colder. We also had breakfast. In contrast to dinner, the food was excellent.

Travel Lodge fab. Red Lion appalling! After ordering meals informed they were closing at 9.30!!! We were moved twice from where we were originally sitting. Last orders 9 pm. Really disappointed!! Hotel excellent. Let's hope breakfast is better in the morning!!!!

We had a great night stay. The family room was a great size and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was exactly what we needed and we found it easy to park and access the hotel. Our breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the staff there were equally as great and really help make it an enjoyable stay. The only thing to note is you have to walk through the car park to get to the restaurant. The next morning we were able to quickly pop in Portsmouth and then head on to our next destination.

We stayed at this Premier Inn for the first time to attend a friend’s birthday party. Very comfortable room. The bed and pillows are very great, plenty of hot water, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer located in the main bedroom next to a mirror and very clean. The breakfast was served in The Red Lion at the end of the car park. The continental breakfast was buffet style and porridge or English breakfast table served and it was very good. Close to an excellent Gsrden centre.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times when I go to visit my son who lives in the area. The staff are really helpful and friendly especially Sara and Michael, nothing is too much trouble and due to my limited mobility to step in and out of a bath they always ensure I have the same room with an easy access shower. On one occasion where I fell ill with the flu my son requested that I was checked on regularly as he was unable to do so and again this was no trouble to them. I cannot recommend this premier inn enough

Great location for a catch up with friends. Team couldn't do enough for us. Stuart had amazing knowledge of Portsmouth and we then book to visit the dockyards from this. Room was lovely and clean and the housekeeping we saw each morning always said hello and asked if we needed anything. Will defo return.

No wifi or reception at all making work on laptop impossible. Room 101 was noisy from the adjacent road. Food wasn't bad in the connected Pub although Breakfast seemed to be rushed, evening meal off menu plenty of choice although the extra £1.50 ( up from 50p ) to change draught lager was excessive.
