Solano Inn

We stayed in the end of August for one night. I noticed right away that it didn't look like a regular hotel. There was no carpet. It looked like it is disinfected every day. I realized that it is being used as a homeless shelter. I would not stay again.

There are FAR BETTER places to stay than here. My loved stayed here for months because he was essentially homeless. Payments were being made on time until work began slowing down, so he was only able to make a payment whenever he was able to acquire the funds. Of course he discussed his predicament to management which assured him they would be willing to come to some sort of agreement. Mind you, another reason my loved one wasn’t able to keep up with payment is because for him they charged one price, while they were charging others far less (this info was imparted to us by others staying there). One day when the manager assumed we were smoking in our room, she came in WITHOUT knocking. I’m not sure what she was hoping to find because no one was smoking, but she also accused us of leaving trash/cigarette butts outside of our room, and even insinuated that we were responsible for the uncleanliness of her facility! That offended me considering for the last three weeks we stayed there, housekeeping left filthy linens on the bed! Mind you, the linens they had put on the bed had an old blood stain on it which is how I knew the linens were not being changed! When I brought this to the manager’s attention, as well as the fact we were being charged almost $400 a week and the utilities were faulty (no working dryers and if you turned on the microwave while the fridge was plugged into the same socket, your room and the room next to it would lose power) the manager, Linda Lee (or Lorelei) told us, “You get what you pay for,” in a smug manner. Really?? The next day, the owner of the hotel came for a visit after the confrontation I had with his manager. I explained to him the distress we endured by her, and I suppose it upset her so much that she offered us money to leave the hotel knowing my loved one had nowhere else to go!!! Terrible place! They are very discriminatory, and for the price they ask for, it simply is not worth it! There are far better places!!! PLEASE CONSIDER SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
