Fairfield Inn & Suites Albany East Greenbush

Terrific location! We stayed the night on the way to our final destination. Lobby and outside area attractive. Bedroom comfortable and beds were perfect. Staff very friendly whoever we had contact with...such a pleasure!! Special shout out to Heisley in the breakfast area. Smiling and accommodating...no matter how close she was to shutting down that area. If she saw someone (me) having a problem figuring out the operation of something (waffle maker); she was there with a "don't forget to rotate it which will activate the start button"). If someone asked for something specific, she was right there! I salute the General Manager and HR for the great team they put together. Represents their hotel well!

Avoid this hotel! The manager doesn't care about the guests. My room was 90 degrees when I checked in and it never cooled sufficiently. I complained that night and the next morning, and the clerk was rude and the manager never reached out. A few days later I discovered bed bug bites. I called and reported it and the manager Rachel never called me back. I called again and after beeing put on hold was told she was in a meeting, and again she never called me back. After calling corporate, and they contacted the hotel, Rachel finally took my call. She was extremely rude and told me the hotel did not have bed bugs. Her defensiveness tells me it is an ongoing problem. When I asked her why the HVAC was off and the room tempature was unbearable, I also received no appology or offer of a credit.

We went 4 full days without any room service. The front desk was zero help and the new Manager Rachael was even less. Our towels reeked, from being damp by 4 th day --- I called and email Assistant GM Laura Scifo but no email response and if I call I get phone box. worst place ever and not recommended.
