The house is beautiful, the breakfast is varied and delicious, cocktail hour was a delight, and the innkeepers, Robert and Douglas, were attentive, funny and informative. The location is perfect, a short walk to downtown. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful experience. Relaxing and accommodating. Potting shed was a nice bonus. Meeting new people was fun and interesting as well during drinks and breakfast.

My husband and I try to visit Galena at least once every year and Aldrich Guest house is always our choice for the best accommodations. Douglas and Robert are great hosts. From their beautiful historic home to the amazing morning breakfasts, the wonderful cocktail hour and the homemade cookies always in the dining room. They love what they do and they love their community. They have so much information on anything you might want to do during your stay. They never disappoint.

Robert and Douglas are hands down the best hosts ever !!! Breakfast was amazing, clean rooms, have excellent ideas of what to do in Galena !! 2nd trip here and planning more. Cocktail hour is one of my favorites !! Meeting people from other states is a plus as well.

We felt very pampered at this beautiful home in Galena. Robert and Douglas are the best hosts, they even told us to "let us pour the coffee". They even shared some favorite hiking trails with us and shared history and wonderful conversation. We stayed midweek and had a wonderful time.

We had a lovely time staying with Tom and Will at the Aldrich House B&B. We felt welcome the moment we walked in the door. We stayed in a very cozy and comfortable room, especially the bed - like your favorite hotel bed! Our bathroom was a bit small but totally workable for two. The breakfasts were homemade and fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed one morning of 'breakfast in bed'. Tom and Will recently took over managing the Aldrich House and I think it's a wonderful spot to enjoy Galena for a long weekend. Highly recommend!

This was our first girl trip (sister-in-law, daughter and myself) and first experience with a Bed & Breakfast stay. It was such a wonderful experience on so many levels. First, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are incredible! The pillows and bedding were luxurious.Robes are provided and they are just as incredible. There are so many areas within this home to relax. I personally enjoyed sitting on the hanging swing within the screened in porch. The breakfast was nothing short of amazing. Tom, who is trained as culinary chef, provided breakfasts that catered to each person in my family. There is an elegant dining room that you can join other guests for breakfast; but since we were “newbies”to the B&B world, we chose to eat in our rooms. The presentation of food, even in our room, only added to our great experience. From the moment we rang the doorbell and were warmly greeted, it felt like a second home. We had a key to our room plus a code to the main door so we could come and go as we want. Will and Tom are incredibly gracious hosts and instantly made us feel at home. I would definitely recommend Aldrich Guest House.

We really enjoyed our stay. Only stayed one night but the hospitality with new owners was great for our first time being b&b participants. Room and entire home was very clean and breakfast was amazing - San Francisco style eggs benedict.
