Wonderful Cabin in the Woods This place is amazing for a weekend getaway up north. I had a small hiccup with the locking mechanism on the door that ended up being operator error, and the host was very prompt in responding and was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful rustic cabin by Chicago Bay This is a well-built cabin, with a good heating system and a solar battery to drive the low-voltage lighting. While it is adjacent to a cleared area for power lines, your views are going to be the trees and other plants. The windows facing Chicago Bay Road have shades for privacy, but no other buildings are in view from your windows. The outbuilding you enter the outhouse portion. This is also the dressing area for the sauna. There are no lights out here, so I recommend bringing head-mounted lights so you can be hands-free. The nearby Chicago Bay Marketplace was not open, though we checked on three different days. If you plan a visit expecting to eat a meal there, have a backup plan! I have heard great things, but the hours are variable sometimes. The heat comes on by itself, so the stove in the corner will suddenly light up. It is very comfortable.

Mokki Cabin Can I was perfectly clean and stocked with lighters and fire starting equipment and plenty of wood- though I didn’t use much. The lake is a short walk from the house with the dock. The sauna is very cute- I’m 5’10” however and hit my head on the door frame multiple times- just as a warning which is probably just use error myself, host communicated perfectly !
