My recent Extremely Pathetic & Terrible experience with Hotel Devkinandan, booked through MakeMyTrip, I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience I had with this hotel's refund process was unacceptably poor and needs to be shared. My booking was from May 2nd to May 4th, which I had to cancel due to a medical emergency. Following the guidance of MakeMyTrip customer support, I initiated the cancellation refund process on April 30th. I promptly initiated the refund request and personally reached out to both the hotel management (Ashish Goyal, Anita, and Kiran Nakum) and MMT representatives, including Area Manager Ammar Vaghjipurwala and MMT Customer Support. I was assured by all parties that I would receive a full refund. However, over 20 days have passed, and despite multiple follow-ups with both the hotel and MakeMyTrip, I have not received my refund. A simple refund process turned into a time-consuming and stressful ordeal. It became clear that customer service is not a priority for this hotel or its booking partner. I felt ignored and disrespected, and my time was wasted chasing a refund that should have been processed promptly and without hassle. Both Hotel & MMT are Money Diggers The hotel owner claims they do not accept refund processes initiated through MakeMyTrip's platform, stating they only accept emails from MakeMyTrip for such requests. Meanwhile, MakeMyTrip customer support delays in sending emails to the hotel regarding the refund, blaming the hotel for the delay. This back-and-forth between the two parties has resulted in unnecessary delays, mental stress, and a complete lack of accountability from both the hotel and MakeMyTrip. What should have been a simple refund has turned into a frustrating tug-of-war, leaving me stuck in the middle with no resolution in sight. I urge both Hotel Devkinandan and MMT to address this matter with the seriousness it deserves and process my refund immediately. Until then, I will continue to share this experience publicly to inform and caution other travelers.
