Unscripted Durham - JDV by Hyatt

It was honestly a great stay nice bed. Nice TV nice area. One thing I didn’t like is why does the shower not have a door? I didn’t get that part water all over the floor everywhere but other than that pretty dope spot.

Location & comfort great.Service needs improvement Had to request shampoo & conditioner as none in room. Very basic set up for price - knew it was windowless but still paid $800 for 2 nights as went to an event. The TV only worked for first night - requested service 3 times and was told they would be at room shortly but no one ever arrived. Could not access Amazon or Netflix either. The TV was located to right of bed - but the bed faces forward so awkward setup. Had prepaid parking but had failed to give us a code to scan when left parking lot so paid extra. Offered a free VIP breakfast downstairs and only one staff member working doing the ordering, cooking, waitressing and fulfilling other orders. Poor woman was working really hard. Waited 35 mins and left as restaurant was filling up and people getting antsy The positives were amazing location downtown and really comfortable bed. Just disappointing service and amenities for the price. Staff were helpful and pleasant every time we approached them but eventually we just accepted were not getting any requests fulfilled so didn’t spend much time in room

The receptionist was awesome, friendly and helpful. The website said the pool wasn’t open yet which was untrue for guests staying there, it was closed for visitors until a later date. VIP included breakfast which was very limited but coffee plentiful, and the host for breakfast was delightful. They stored my luggage for a few hours, it felt safe and the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating!

Well first room I was given was not clean so I was placed in another room. I was satisfied with that and the staff was apologetic and accommodating. Thank you for trying to redeem yourself. I appreciate that.

Terrible experience We visited your hotel in January and had a very positive stay. So positive that we invited our friends to join us for this most recent stay. We waited in line quite a while to check in. Once checked in the Receptionist had very little knowledge of charges he was applying and seemed very confused. We checked in ok. Our friends were told, with a confirmed room, that there was no room for them and the hotel had upgraded them but they would have to pay for the upgrade. When our friends said that did not make sense, they were then told that there was no room for them! We had 5:00pm dinner reservations, prior to a play, and, because of this, we missed our dinner reservation as the Receptionist could not seem to figure out what to do for them and said that all management was in a meeting. Our friends ended up changing for the evening in the lobby restroom. FINALLY at 5:30pm we pressured the Receptionist to get someone in management, which finally happened. They did give our friends a room and we were on our way. This was very embarrassing for us as we had spoken so highly of your hotel and felt that the attention by the Receptionist, and management, was poor. This left a very bad impression on all of us. Our friends, staying at the same hotel, same dates, are Kathy Mulrenan. I feel that we both deserve some sort of compensation for this debacle in the form of a compensated room or reimbursement for our stay last night.

I really like the pool in the view in this hotel is very convenient if you wanna walk around the city.
