Okay so where to begin…we were allocated room 214 ***** were found in the bath dust was found in other areas of the room. They then moved us to 2 other rooms before anything was maybe up to standards with basic cleanliness. In each room were things like dust, toilet roll within the toilet (which meant the cleaner didn’t even bother to lift the seat to clean it so highly doubt it was cleaned at all) a small ring under the bed which if we had a child would of been a choking hazard. Some beds weren’t even tucked. Under the beds in the bed board corners you can literally run your fingers across the carpet and you’ll get yourself a nice handful of dust! The man dealing with me was extremely helpful but couldn’t do an awful lot. He made sure the manager was aware I needed to speak to her in the morning. So, spoke to her and unfortunately the lady was very dismissive said things like “you should of cancelled” “gone to a different hotel” it’s a premier inn…I didn’t expect such low quality in cleanliness to be honest. Let alone service. She asked to see the pictures which I was more than happy to provide but just not very remorseful towards myself or my partner. Like she didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Lady I had to make a bed to make it acceptable!

Car park was good after that is was downhill. Rooms, bed too high had to jump to get on it, conversely toilets too low. No proper showers. Couldn't leave a light on in the room so walking back into darkness. Broken hangers, lamp that didn't work and key cards that had to be reset twice on both rooms. Oh and no usb charging points. Corridors wreaked for days of someones takeaway. Restaurant full of screaming kids, desperately in need of a refit, a lot of ripped upholstery. Needed to book breakfast even though nowhere near full. Chaotic people wandering about with platefuls of hot food not knowing where they were going. Toaster burnt everything. Staff not helpful, bossy and rude on occasions. Would not stop here again

Been here for 3 nights & have had a fantastic trip. Quick, efficient check in by a polite gentleman. Room was very cool on arrival which was great, so someone had taken the time to ensure the air con was put on ready. Tea & coffee provided, clean bathroom & all superb. Beds were comfy & extra pillows were great to have. Slept so well every single night. I phoned up a week in advance to make sure we had a ground floor room & this was done for us. Much appreciated. Very accommodating for me when I am on my own with my young child. Delicious breakfast & evening meals in the attached Brewers Fayre, with very friendly & welcoming staff. All hotel staff seen on reception & housekeepers were all very chatty & friendly as well. We shall be back again this year for our forth visit! Thank you Premier Inn, Minehead 😊

I generally enjoy stating at Premier Inns for work. I shouldn't have chosen one for my holidays. This is a fairly standard Premier Inn: it seemed efficiently run, and clean. There was no daily servicing of rooms, in general, but extra tea and coffee were available from reception. Breakfast was a standard Permier Inn fare. There was no clue in the room about how to find Breakfast; nor any other infomation about the hotel itself (nor reminder of the check-out time). In general there seemed a shortage of information: I had to ask staff where to log my car registration, because the machine for that was hidden in a corner behind the door. The thing is, the price looked really good. But when you add on breakfast, and then the £7 per night parking cost, and then you have to pay too to get an internet connection that actually works. It all mounts up. So, I don't think I'll stay at Premier Inn next time I'm in Minehead - not for holiday, anyway.

The room was clean and quiet. The self check in was easy and quick. Unfortunately in the mobility accessible rooms they only have a lowered height bath , rather than a walk in shower with a fold down stool . Blue Badge holders don’t get any concessions on parking fees .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very quick check in. Rooms spotless. Main highlight was the restaurant, when we went in the member of staff on the door showed us to a quiet table for me and my son, which was appreciated as my son has autism. He was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed for one night as we were travelling on the Flying Scotsman the next day. The receptionist was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, well maintained, and the shower was great. We enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep in the comfortable bed. Food was good at the Brewer’s Fayre next door, friendly, welcoming staff. Opposite the pub is a footpath over fields, cross the railway line and you can walk by the river to the sea at the side of Butlins.
