SO…we got stranded at the airport due to a cancelled flight at 9pm at night. Eleuthera is a tiny island where everything ends pretty early and we were terrified as we were traveling with our 3 children, youngest is 6. The nicest man Harrison who was in a taxi (we just blindly got in a taxi because we didn’t know what else to do) made a call and thank goodness Tingum had a room because of a cancellation. We literally walked into Paradise. Everyone was so welcoming, and they opened the kitchen to make sure we had dinner as we hadn’t eaten since breakfast. The grounds and room were so beautiful and the people so nice. They turned what was a terrible situation into a fun evening where we got to stay in a beautiful place and meet beautiful people. We are literally planning our next trip back to stay there as we drive home. To the Percentie Family and staff and friends who were there last night, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!! ❤️

Our group of 9 (2 families: 4 adults/4 kids, ages 8-10, 1 baby, age 1) spent a week at Coral Sand's Villa Carissa Feb. 13-20, 2021. The amazing service started well before our arrival as Aldred at the front desk answered our every question, helped with planning excursions, and made sure we had everything we would need upon our arrival. The Villa was perfect for our group with enough room and privacy to allow our kids to run a bit wild without bothering other guests, but close enough that we felt completely part of the resort. The private pool was a lifesaver and provided the perfect spot for a late afternoon swim for the kids and pre-dinner drinks for the adults. The layout of the house was a bit odd, as one bedroom can only be accessed through either of the other bedrooms, but it worked fine for us. The guest cottage (with laundry!) is great. A great escape for parents if their kids are old enough to sleep a few hundred yards away. The Resort itself was even better! The location is as good as it gets. Very central to everywhere you'll want to be. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Everyone from maintenance, to the front desk staff to the amazing beach attendants and waiters and waitresses were always ready to help and did so with a smile. We ate breakfast at the resort everyday (a mix of room service and dining room), lunch and snacks many days at the beach bar, had dinner twice at Latitude 25, and enjoyed our share of Kaliks and rum punches all over the resort! It was all excellent and expertly served. The staff was always masked and quick to gently remind guests who were not. Masking and social distancing compliance was pretty much 100% across the island and with the Bahamas Covid testing protocols we felt safer here than we do at home. I could go on and on about Coral Sands Resort and go on further about the beautiful and friendly people, breathtaking scenery, delicious food, and incredible art of Harbour Island. But, just go! You won't be disappointed! We will certainly be back.

The other team-members were very pleasant and competent as well. Was nice to get a ride with bags back to the port (only a few blocks away but a huge benefit with the hills + heat). Wish I'd inquired about for arrival too. Likes: - economical option during the Christmas holiday week - spacious rooms (the ”Deluxe” ones have kitchenettes) - beach chairs and towels - Mario's responsiveness with inquiries and suggestions Dislikes: - old, dilapidated shower and sub-optimal water pressure - window panes don't close easily or well - bed sheets stained - TV never worked properly

Valentines is a fantastic boutique yacht club/ resort, which is way better than other similarly priced places in the Bahamas or Harbour Island. The property is located on the bay side of the island and has beautiful grounds, a really stunning (newly refurbished) pool, a great coffee shop, gym, on site (excellent) dive centre and a vibey bar (away from the rooms) in the evenings. It has big comfortable beds and hot showers (unlike some other places on the island! ive stayed at) It is really well managed and the staff and managers are so friendly and cant do enough for you. I almost had a sore arm from being waved and waving back so much during my stay ! The photos on website dont do it justice to show how lovely and pretty this place is.Ive given it 5 stars although tbh its prob 4.5 only because the service was so wonderful and location so pretty and the rooms big. If you are Kim Kardashian or a Shipping Billionaire you probably wont stay here. because its not a brash place, or an ultra lux place,The crowd who stay here are younger, and friendlier than other places on the island. Dont get me wrong this is not a spring break place - Its great for upmarket wedding parties, friends traveling together, couples, its not a crazy, party place but has a fun, busy, buzzy bar, its for yachties arriving , friends gathering, family reunions, or couples who want a relaxed lovely environment with excellent service and facilities - wifi is amazing btw! and pool is serene and to die for. if you arent staying at the Dunmore or in expensive private accomodation, this seriously is a great option. and in all honestly Dunmore and Ocean View aside ....better.... I think - you can go to those places for dinner or lunch, spend a fortune, and come back here after for a nice drink at the bar after and spend the money you save on other places on excursions and seeing the swimming pigs etc The island is small enough you really dont need to pay huge prices for a beach resort (and prob wont get a beach view in most of them anyway). This is a very, very good option on this wonderful island. Contrary to a couple of other reviewers I had no problem checking in here early and also a friend was due to come out and couldnt because of Covid and she got an instant refund, and all other guests I met said how friendly and helpful the staff were. I would recommend Valentines any day for anyone coming to HI who doesnt want an ultimate once in a lifetime stay , but if you want a cool, casual upmarket boutique resort to give you very happy memories for life , then.. this is your place !
