Baymont by Wyndham Scranton Dunmore

The only problem that I had was the hot water would not get hot. I tried at 9 AM every hour until 12 o’clock. I called the desk. They came up and let the water run for a while and finally got hot. That’s a problem. You shouldn’t have to wait until the water gets hot because there’s so many people checking out in the morning. There must be some other problem this was first time experiencing it in any hotel that I have stayed in Otherwise for the price it was good but they need to update. The lamps are old furniture is old need to remodel that the price was so low by booking with you all.

Employees smoking whenever and non smokers get the blame and they want to charge you for a cleaning of 250 dollars if they say so.... I checked out and told them I'm not the one I wish you would try and charge me anything because you smell a cigarette I don't even smoke

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was dated, and while advertised as a suite with a bathtub, the jacuzzi tub was awkwardly in the middle of the sitting area and was out of order. The bathroom had dirty towels (not used, more like washed but then carelessly stored or handled, so they had black marks on them). It was definitely a lower quality room. It shouldn’t have been rented with broken amenities.

Again, the staff accommodated moving us to a ground floor room. Have stayed there before and it is very easy on/off the highway for our trip to and from FL. Beds were very comfortable.

Baymont Dunmore PA Shenique greeted us on check in and periodically during our stay. She is a gem and made us feel welcome. Property is older. We were in room 420 and must have been as far away from water heater as possible. Water eventually got hot after many minutes. Tub has been capped and has no flat surface to stand on. Hand rail was necessary to move around shower. Had to move dresser to plug in mini fridge. Were there four nights, room was serviced once. Plus for this property it is very convenient to freeway, grocery shopping is a walk across the parking lot and fantastic eating at Loading Dock. We make this trip every year, will consider again for next year.

In my opinion the property is nice, the staff were courteous when I checked in. Food options locally were great. Did laundry on site and machines are dated and could use a thorough cleaning but not to bad. People were in lobby participating in some sort of community gathering, seems like a nice place involved with the local community.
