Best Pet friendly Hotels in Dunhuang

The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

This hotel accepts foreigners. Location is not far from Dunhuang night market. Reception is nice and welcoming although they did not speak english. Translation app will do just fine. 100rmb deposit at check-in and they will give you back at check-out if everything is fine. Room is small, quite old and basic. Smoking is allowed inside hotel floors so it felt really suffocationg. The faucet in the bathroom did not give hot water, only the shower did. The only thing I don’t like is the AC (also heater) emitted kind of a burning smell which made the room suffocated. I turned on for a while and turned off in order to sleep safely.

The school is clean, the rooms are fully equipped. Good service staff, good location, close to the mall, convenient to find food, about 1 km from the bus station coming from the train station, on the main road, straight to Mingsasan.

Location is very ideal, along a pleasant Main Street, around 5 to 8 mins walk to night market, yet away from the rowdiness of tourists. Just opposite there are convenience shops, a western bakery (Angelia) and stretch of small restaurants in an alley which are of good quality. Front desk services are fantastic especially helpful for foreigners ( though they don’t speak English- try to use e-translator), regarding local attractions and getting a cab for you if encounter difficulties. They are genuinely helpful to try to overcome your difficulties. Special mention on Ya Jin who even asked her regular taxi driver to accompany us to buy the Mogao Grottoes tickets and arranged for a long distance taxi trip to Liuyuan South Railway station. Wang Na also offered her WeChat contact number if we have difficulties coming back at night. Really warm hospitality. Even the hotel driver who fetched us from the airport was nice(complimentary service). The housekeepers are too hardworking. Only complain I have is the breakfast which served exactly the same thing every morning and of limited choices. Thus Angelia bakery just opposite was really a good alternative.

The room is very big. It may be because of the off-season, so the price is very cheap. The hotel service attitude is very good. There is a travel agency downstairs, Chenguang Travel. In fact, it is cheaper to sign up for a group tour in the local area than to order online, and you can also get free accommodation in this hotel. But if you take the western route, that is, to Yangguan and Yumenguan, you can walk around Yangguan in the morning. You are required to come out at 12 o'clock. If you don't plan to eat, there is no need to come out, because the one-day tour group will also leave 1 hour for lunch at noon. Everyone must pay attention to this. The driver will take the passengers to a restaurant near Yangguan for dinner, all at their own expense, so if you don't want to eat, just tell them in advance and you can have a good look around Yangguan. Other aspects of the hotel are very satisfactory. Sometimes I don't drink water, and the waiter still puts two bottles for me every day. Very warm.

The room was nice, with a light aromatherapy smell. Maybe because it was a special offer room, the area was relatively small, but it was sufficient. Drinking water was provided free of charge. We were given four bottles of water on the first day, and five bottles on the second day. There was also hot tea at the entrance. The waiter in the lobby did not take the initiative to provide face coverings. It was when I went out the next day that I remembered to ask the front desk for it. There is a place to dry clothes on the fifth floor. I brushed my child’s shoes and put them on the fifth floor. They were dry in one day. It is very close to the night market, but I don’t like the environment of the night market. The prices are also expensive and there are only tourists from other places. The next day, I found a restaurant that the locals liked on the Internet and went there to eat braised pancakes. The grilled lamb chops and wild vegetables from Shazhou Mountain are especially delicious. The most surprising thing was that I found a particularly large supermarket. After visiting the night market, I thought I could go to the night market or roadside shops to buy things, but it turns out that there is such a large supermarket in Dunhuang. It is also very close to the hotel, only five minutes away, and it is inside a large shopping mall. Fruits are especially cheap; cut cantaloupe is only over four yuan. Unfortunately, it only opens at 8am. I signed up for a one-day tour and left too early to come and buy it.

It’s just great. All the smart devices in the hotel can be used. The hotel is very new. It is clean, beautiful, tidy, comfortable. The city of Dunhua is very safe. My box is all on the roof. I have been driving for a day. I am too lazy to unload it. It is a particularly safe night. I really like it. Thank you for your business.

Sand on floor on arrival. No towels at alll in the bathroom. I called reception for towels. Ok. Next day, the cleaners clean the room and remove the used towels but didn’t replace with new ones. Again I have to call reception to bring towels. My 3 nights there, the cleaning of the floors was really poor. Floors were not swept and I could see hairs on the floor. Ok. They were my own hairs, but still. Sweep the floor! Cleaners also do not remove used porcelain cups with clean cups. The furniture, and bedding are really nice. But shame about the poor cleaning job. Also, there is no place to hang up the towels in the bathroom. Very odd.

We arrived in Dunhuang at night, and the pick-up service arranged by the hotel was very heartwarming. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. You can see the beautiful scenery of Mingsha Mountain in the distance outside the window. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, making you feel like spring breeze. The hotel breakfast is delicious. The restaurant is on the 9th floor and has a large viewing platform where you can enjoy the beautiful Dunhuang. The lobby on the first floor of the hotel also provides yogurt, mineral water and seasonal fruits. The hotel's service details are very attentive. The Dunhuang landmark Rebounding Pipa is right in front of the hotel. It is very close to the Dunhuang Shazhou Night Market. It is only a 5-minute walk away. It is convenient for eating and transportation. You can take the No. 3 bus at the door directly to Mingsha Mountain, and there are direct buses to the Mogao Grottoes. I had a comfortable stay and had a lot of fun during my trip to Dunhuang. I hope to come again if I have the opportunity.

The hotel rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding and reasonable prices. They are an ideal choice for business travel and leisure.
