The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law.
The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers).
This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

Dunhuang International Hotel is perfect beyond expectation! The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes away from the airport high-speed rail taxi, and a ten-minute walk to the Mogao Grottoes Digital Display Center or the Dunhuang Show. It is very convenient. Dunhuang itself is not big, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to Mingsha Mountain in the city by taxi. The hotel staff did not relax the standards at all because of the off-season. Although it is a state-owned hotel, it does have a better service level than international five-star hotels. Every waiter is very proactive and smiling, which makes people feel warm. The room is spacious and well-planned. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are clean and hygienic. The water delivery and other services are very fast. The hotel also thoughtfully prepared a humidifier, which is so thoughtful. The spring in the northwest is too dry. The focus is on the breakfast and Chinese restaurant of this hotel. The breakfast perfectly surpasses the international chain five-star hotels such as Ritz-Carlton. Every dish is delicious, especially the beef noodles and mutton soup. It can be seen that the hotel is making every dish carefully. We almost ate at the hotel in the evening, and the hotel made a delicate and delicious green vegetable! Alas, I really don’t want to leave! I highly recommend this hotel. We are not a guest, and our children will miss the hotel breakfast when they come back! By the way, the hotel also provides a 7-seater business car to pick us up at the station for free once. The key is that the price is really a conscience price. Compared with the other two popular Bixi hotels in Dunhuang, it is really a comprehensive and cost-effective hotel. This is the first time I want to come to this place because of a hotel!

We arrived in Dunhuang at night, and the pick-up service arranged by the hotel was very heartwarming. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. You can see the beautiful scenery of Mingsha Mountain in the distance outside the window. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, making you feel like spring breeze. The hotel breakfast is delicious. The restaurant is on the 9th floor and has a large viewing platform where you can enjoy the beautiful Dunhuang. The lobby on the first floor of the hotel also provides yogurt, mineral water and seasonal fruits. The hotel's service details are very attentive. The Dunhuang landmark Rebounding Pipa is right in front of the hotel. It is very close to the Dunhuang Shazhou Night Market. It is only a 5-minute walk away. It is convenient for eating and transportation. You can take the No. 3 bus at the door directly to Mingsha Mountain, and there are direct buses to the Mogao Grottoes. I had a comfortable stay and had a lot of fun during my trip to Dunhuang. I hope to come again if I have the opportunity.

The oasis hotel is located directly next to the night market with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. You can hear the music and noise from the street market, which stops at 11 pm. We had the family room which is very spacious and clean. We were here in November and the heater takes a long time to warm the room. I would recommend staying in this hotel.

Metropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly.
The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum.
Highly recommended.

The hotel was spotless , quiet and provided all the latest amenities. There was great choice for breakfast and the staff were very attentive, even bringing local dishes over to us to try and ensuring we had everything we needed. The hotel reception staff were also extremely friendly and helpful always ready to assist with a smile. A big thank you to Wang Ying who helped to hail a taxi and explain where we wanted to go.

The room was large and clean. Yogurt, fruit and breakfast were provided. Xiao Dai and Xiao He, the front desk staff, were also very nice, very gentle and patient. This hotel also provides airport pick-up and drop-off services. The person who was responsible for sending us was Master Li, who brought us local special snacks. The service was very enthusiastic throughout the whole process, and they helped us move our luggage and take pictures.
Actually, I originally booked another hotel, but later I found that this hotel has a very good location, right next to the night market, and there is a bus to the scenic area next to it. There is also airport pick-up service. It is really very convenient.
In short, I am very grateful to Xiao Dai, Sister Xiao He and Master Li for their warm and thoughtful service. I really highly recommend this restaurant! ! !

BBo-JennaReally recommend this place! Very nice hostel owners who know a lot about the area and give some great recommendations. The location was also absolutely ideal with good food and shopping nearby. The rooms itself had comfy beds, big spacious lockers, good airconditioner, and enough room for multiple people. The showers and chilling area were also really nice. And not to forget, the dogs were absolutely adorable and very friendly!! One of the best hostels I have been to in a while.

Service: Very friendly. After parking the car, the hotel helped to carry the luggage in. Fruits were prepared in the room, and drinks were available. It was really generous! There was also a washing machine available.

The most important thing is that the hotel is very close to Mingsha Mountain, and you can walk there without worrying about traffic jams. We went there on the first night. There were really 10,000 people at the concert. After the show, we walked back easily without worrying about not being able to get a taxi or traffic jams. The next morning, we went to play the beach project again. There were not many people in the morning, and there was no need to queue up for camel riding. After playing, we went back to take a shower and check out at noon. It was really convenient.

SSaharathThe hotel location is good, right in the city center. The exterior may look like an ordinary modern Chinese hotel but the guest room interior is quite nice. Modern with lots of electrical outlets.
The breakfast is simple but tastes really good. The best for this China trip for me.
The hotel also has a free pickup and dropoff service from/to Dunhuang Airport and Dunhuang Railway Station.
One of a few drawbacks for me is the shower room design. I mean construction wise, not decoration wise. Even though there is a circumference groove on the shower room floor to drain water, the swinging glass shower door leaves space at the bottom, causing water to spill outside and pool on the floor. The floor is marbled so it could be slippery.
Another is that even though I had the hotel's WeChat account and had tried to contact them, as I thought I would be able to use the translation function on the app, I was not able to reach anyone or get any response.

HHeong Siew YinLocation is very ideal, along a pleasant Main Street, around 5 to 8 mins walk to night market, yet away from the rowdiness of tourists. Just opposite there are convenience shops, a western bakery (Angelia) and stretch of small restaurants in an alley which are of good quality.
Front desk services are fantastic especially helpful for foreigners ( though they don’t speak English- try to use e-translator), regarding local attractions and getting a cab for you if encounter difficulties. They are genuinely helpful to try to overcome your difficulties. Special mention on Ya Jin who even asked her regular taxi driver to accompany us to buy the Mogao Grottoes tickets and arranged for a long distance taxi trip to Liuyuan South Railway station. Wang Na also offered her WeChat contact number if we have difficulties coming back at night. Really warm hospitality.
Even the hotel driver who fetched us from the airport was nice(complimentary service). The housekeepers are too hardworking.
Only complain I have is the breakfast which served exactly the same thing every morning and of limited choices. Thus Angelia bakery just opposite was really a good alternative.

BBerrrrrrrrrWe got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly.
Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also.
Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area.
The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out.
I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

The hotel is right next to the Shazhou night market and within walking distance to all the transportation hubs which makes visiting Dunhuang attractions easy.
And the service team was fantastic. One and all they were approachable and very helpful. The lovely lady who checked us in not only upgraded our room but she even managed to get us seats on a Western Dunhuang tour which was one of the highlights of our already amazing trip!
Another recommended local dishes for us to try and we were amused to see the name of one such restaurant on a road sign!
In short we love Dunhuang Jiayuan Hotel. Thank you lovely ladies for making our stay there a very satisfying one 👍

SSeqsyuttI had 4 nights stay and liked this hostel room spacecious and clean. The owner 'Siao Fang' is very friendly and helpful even knowledgeable if any queries, he would delighted to share and guide you. The cleaning ladies help to clean the room daily and replenishment are sufficient. Hostel in a strategic location about 15 mins walk to D'un Huang night market and you can catch local buses to cressant desert with only RMB2 and Mogao Cave RMB5 only.
It is a worth for value and if I have a chance to be back to here in future, this definitely would be my first choice by heart and strongly recommend to all my friends. Thank You for your unconditional service and I have had a wonderful stay at your place

AAoxianggongI came to Dunhuang to travel because I admired the Mogao Grottoes, and I wanted to find a place to stay close to the Mogao Grottoes Digital Exhibition Center. I accidentally saw the Han Dynasty Inn on the platform and found that this Han and Tang style hotel is very close to the airport, train station and Mogao Grottoes Digital Exhibition Center. Not far to the south is the landscape that connects most of Dunhuang's scenic spots. The parking lots on the avenue and the post office can meet the parking needs of various vehicles, and the transportation advantages are very obvious. After checking in, while chatting with the boss, I learned that the boss is from Shandong. He came to Shazhou Dunhuang with a heart of pilgrimage and enlightenment. He just took over the Dahan Inn this year. It can be seen from the boss's words and deeds that this ”dream chaser” maintains a humble and learning attitude towards all matters related to the inn, and is very willing to listen to tourists' accommodation experience, suggestions and opinions. In addition, the boss's cooking skills are very good. You can order your own dishes and experience the fun of private cooking.
