Hotels in Shazhou Market, Dunhuang

The hotel is well located in city center and provides complimentary pick up/drop off service from train station. There is a direct bus which goes to mogao caves right in front the hotel- making self transport a breeze. Room is spacious and nicely designed with a large bath tub. Apart from the hotel hardware, what really stood out was the extra mile services offered by the staff. There are 2 staff who really shine. Firstly, Ms tong tong （彤彤）was very patient in explaining all the touristy sites around and how to get there. She helped us book performance tickets so we could enjoy some discounts. When we enquired about transfer to liu yuan, she not only checked for all the information online for us but also personally went to the bus station to find a driver who goes to liuyuan. We're so impressed with her extra mile service!! Really kudos to her great personality and service. Next staff to mention is Mr li (李师傅）who picked us up at the train station. He suggested some dining places to us and offered to drop us off at mogao caves when we bumped into him at the hotel lobby. Overall, highly recommend to stay at this hotel.

Metropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum. Highly recommended. 这是一家不错的酒店，位于河边，相对靠近市中心。一位可爱的工作人员李雪帮我办理了入住手续，并带我去了酒店房间。她非常乐于助人，非常友好。 酒店房间非常宽敞、干净，相当豪华。从酒店步行即可到达夜市和博物馆。 强烈推荐。

Overall satisfied. Room is large enough and clean. Service was very good. Breakfast only Chinese choices, there are some bread and coffee but not considered as western breakfast. As it is in Dunhuang, not much expected and it was OK for few days. Only things we did not like were shower and spot light type light in the bathroom. Water flow of the shower was OK but the water temperature always changed and not possible to adjust to an appropriate temperature. One important thing I need to mention. My international VISA card was not accepted. I was lucky as I had a Union Pay card.

Great hotel in great location. The staffs are also very helpful and great service mind. Firstly, the hotel upgraded our room for free, it was nice, clean, and spacious. After that the robot delivered us free welcome yoghurts. The location is nice, in the middle of shopping street, bakery, convenient stores. It is convenient to take cab to Mingshashan. The laundry room looks nice, new and clean. Definitely we will come to this hotel if we were back in Dunhuang.

Hotel guests have free access to cherry tomatoes, yoghurts, coffee, minerals, sweets and Chinese tea at their convenience. The staff of the hotel are courteous and friendly. The staff are ready to provide information and guidance. Beside the hotel, there is a restaurant and Shazhou Night Market is 60 meters away. Convenience for shopping for local foods, souvenirs, and etc. Next to Shazhou Night Market is the Dunhuang Bazzar, where more 50 eatery stalls are available. Visitors are spolit for choices of food and it operates till midnight. Will stay at this hotel in our next visit to Dunhuang.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

We had a great stay. Location is literally next to the night market (this means that it can get a little noisy but if you don't want that then don't stay near a night market). The room is large, clean and with all the amendities. There a guy working there who speaks a little bit of English and the staff is very friendly. We only had a little miscommunication. Upon leaving we wanted to know where the bus to the train station left (if it was the same location as where we arrived with the bus). And the lady for the hotel insisted that there was no bus and that we should take a taxi. Just so you know, there is a bus (or shared-van for I think when it is not high season) for 5 yuan from behind the Dunhuang hotel. It starts at 8.30 and stops at 17.30. Besides that we would still recommend this hotel!

Strategically located to stage to places of interest: like Dunhuang spring crescent n also Mogao Grottoes. Within 20minutes. Very affordable and great value for money with all the helpful front staff to housekeeping. Just around the corner is the street food with lots of restaurants n the Shahzhou nite Market is just 15 minutes walk away. I highly recommend anyone wishing to come to Dunhuang seeking reasonable and quality accommodation to stay here.

Staying in this hotel is a great experience! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was deeply impressed by the warm and thoughtful service. The check-in procedures at the front desk were quick and efficient, and the staff were smiling, which made people feel particularly friendly. The parking lot uncle took the initiative to help with the luggage, thank you! The room is warm and comfortable, the bedding is soft and clean, and the fatigue disappears instantly when you lie down. The bathroom facilities are complete, and the toiletries are of high quality. After taking a shower, the whole person is refreshed. The hotel has a rich variety of breakfast, including Chinese pastries, Western bread, fresh fruits and hot porridge, which meet the needs of different tastes. The surrounding environment is also very good, with convenient transportation, shopping and dining. I am very satisfied with this stay. I will choose here next time and recommend it to my friends around me!

The location is very good, with convenient restaurants around, and it is close to the Dunhuang Night Market, which can be reached on foot. The staff is very enthusiastic, greets you as soon as you meet them, and answers all your questions. The room has just been renovated, the layout is good, the bathroom is large, the partitions are reasonable, and it is very comfortable to live in. However, there are some problems with the lighting setting. The light in the bathroom is for saving. The light goes out when people are still there, which is very inconvenient. I found that the floor was not mopped clean when I just checked in, and the waiter needs to be trained more.
