Grand Soluxe Hotel Dunhuang

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Dunhuang, with many nice restaurants within walking distance. Especially of note is the nearby riverside park, which is beautifully lit up at night, with a Bellagio like water fountain show, complete with music and lightshow. All free to the public. The room is beautiful and elegant, with lots of rosewood furniture. We loved our suite with its living room and separate bedroom.

Nice hotel at the riverside. Night stroll along river is good. Friendly and helpful staff. Kudos to Xiao Chen at the reception who accompanied us to the room with a fruit basket. Special thanks to housekeeper Xiao Mu who has been attentive to our needs.

We like the hotel, which was nice hotel near the center of Dun Huang. The service was good, all staff we met were friendly. Convenient for walking to the city center with shopping, banks etc. Easy to find the rental car. The breakfast buffet were plentiful with different foods for both Chinese and Westerner tastes, the only negative thing bout the breakfast is the lousy & very think coffee served during the breakfast. The hotel restaurant is closed for dinner, we found some nice local ones nearby, one of them on the river side with great night light show. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The double room was full of smoky stink!! As we arrived very late, we were told there is no other room available. The hotel should have separated rooms for smokers and non-smoking.
