The hotel was comfortable. However, the room bathroom was not clean at all. The toilet barely worked and I found hairs on the shower drain.

The hotel may be a little old, and could use an update, but it is clean and within walking distance of the night market and river. The staff may not be able to speak good English, but they will try their best to help you with anything you need.

Very close to the Dunhuang Night Markets and easy taxi pick up. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Very good quality price ratio. Very good location. Very clean, and nice room. Friendly staff. The only negative thing is that there was no breakfast available (although trip.com said it was available). Not a big problem, you can eat everywhere in dunhuang

Good location on Mingsha Lu. Received airport pickup, staff attentive and welcoming. The Night Market was steps down the street. Lots of little shops in the neighbourhood. Abundance of taxis for local and long distance travel.

Reasonably priced, conveniently located, helpful staff, good hygiene and well maintained facilities.

The mirrored walls above the bed were a little dirty, but besides that, it was a wonderful stay. Very friendly staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it is great value for money and the room is comfortable. My only negative comment would be that as a non-smoker, the room was a bit smelly, but I left the window open for a day and it aired out nicely. Every single person working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and convenient. They even helped me to post some souvenirs back to my house that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase. I was travelling alone and it can be a bit intimidating to travel away from major cities with my less than conversational level of Chinese, but I was made to feel so welcome and I am very grateful for the amazing hospitality. The location is fantastic, walking distance to a lot of nice places to eat and the night market. There was a cheap and decent gym within 8 minutes walking of the hotel and nowhere was too far to go by taxi. For foreigners, I recommend taking the taxi to Doujiaduncun villagers committee to take your PCR test. It’s about 5 minutes by taxi and they can help deal with PCR tests for foreigners who don’t have access to the QR code. You must go back the next day to pick up the results. The people at the testing site are also very helpful. I loved my visit to Dunhuang so much, the landscape is incredible and the people here are so nice. I will definitely come back again!

Great place to stay in the middle of town. Very convenient in between the desert area attraction and the grottos! Rooms are basic and A/C works great! I would stay here again. Excellent customer service and willing to help you with anything.

Dunhuang hotel was very well located, in walking distance of the night market and many other shops. I was just a bit disappointed with the shower, which was very small. The pump bottles with shower gel, soap and shampoo was very difficult to use. The staff was very particular about health and safety, spraying us with disinfectant every time we entered the building!

I was a bit skeptical about this hotel having read some conflicting reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is an average Chinese chain hotel, the decor is a bit outdated but the room was spacious and clean. Location was perfect- Dunhuang is small and easy to get around.

The time was originally quite reasonable, arriving in Dunhuang at around 23:00, so I directly booked Dunhuang Hotel to spend one night. I mainly saw its good location, cheap price, and free airport pick-up. I thought I could go to the night market next door for a midnight snack when I arrived in Dunhuang. I didn't expect it to be 4 hours late, arriving at 3:30 in the morning. Fortunately, the VIP lounge of Lanzhou Airport didn't chase people away, and I lay in it for 6 or 7 hours. . What needs to be praised is that the hotel service is very good and very responsible. As a hotel with a calendar room of less than 150 yuan/day, Liu called two days in advance to inquire about the airport pick-up. What's more amazing is that on the day of departure, I received a flight change and delay notice. Before I had time to contact the hotel, they took the initiative to call to confirm the arrangement. The hotel car was at the exit door, and it was very smooth to take me directly to the hotel. I checked in at around 4:00 in the morning and delayed check-out until 3:00. I finally got some rest and successfully started the Xinjiang jet lag mode. . The hotel is close to Shazhou Night Market, and there are many delicious foods around, such as Xiajiahe Juice and Yangji Dry Food, which are all within a 200-meter walking distance. The main door faces the street and has a large yard with ample parking spaces. It can be said that it is very convenient to travel and find food. For a 3-star hotel, the lobby is also relatively spacious, with an elevator and a relatively old spiral staircase in the center. . Book the basic room type elegant twin room, nominally 25 square meters. The room is indeed small and old, and the "Hu smell" in the room is relatively heavy, but the mattress is thick and soft, quite comfortable, and the bedding is relatively clean. Basically, you just wash and fall asleep. . There are some water drinks in the room that need to be paid for. I don’t think it’s expensive, such as 12 yuan per barrel of 4-liter Nongfu Spring, and paid laundry detergent, etc. There is a self-service laundry room that I didn’t go to see what it looks like. . For a hotel of this price, there is really nothing to complain about. If you take a late flight to Dunhuang, you can indeed choose this place for transit. The last time I came here, the transit hotel was about the same price, but the location was much more remote.
