I came to Mingsha Mountain with my boyfriend to watch a concert of 10,000 people. It was a pleasant surprise to book this homestay! The homestay is very new and clean. The room we booked is called Shayu, which is on the second floor. When you get up in the morning, you can see Mingsha Mountain from the window. Who knows this kind of happiness? The homestay is very close to Mingsha Mountain! You can enter the scenic area in about 5 minutes on foot! It was actually quite late and tiring after watching the concert, but it was great to be able to take a walk back to the homestay to wash up. Moreover, it is far away from the city and has less light pollution. You can watch the stars and the Milky Way on the rooftop of the homestay at night. It is also convenient to go to Mingsha Mountain to watch the sunrise in the morning. What's different about this homestay is that it has a very large public area, a book bar (you can rest here when it's too hot during the day) a bar (you can get a little tipsy at night) and a cinema (although you can watch it in the room, it feels different to watch a movie with a group of people). There are many young people who get together to sing at night, and the atmosphere is super good!

I travel with my kids every year, but this was the most disappointing. The Ctrip photos didn't match the accommodations. One of the beds was actually a mattress. I never expected my first negative review would be in Dunhuang. If I had known it was the mattress, I definitely wouldn't have booked this B&B for three days. I checked out the next day and changed my Dunhuang itinerary. I had booked the room online in early July, but I didn't expect them to give me a mattress instead of a bed. The room was on the second floor, at the back, and it was very inconvenient to bring a child and a suitcase with me, although the front desk helped bring it up. I wanted to complain to Gansu 12345, but decided against it.

This is a very nice B&B with a place to dry clothes, a study, a dining room, and a small bar. The fried rice is excellent, affordable, and generous in size. The staff are a few young, enthusiastic men and women. They offered to help with luggage. The B&B is in a great location, just steps from Mingsha Mountain. On our way there, an elderly man even drove us to the entrance on a scooter, which was a truly fun experience. After the concert, there were crowds of people looking for taxis. Being able to stroll back to the B&B was so relaxing I almost cried. This B&B is a must-try when visiting Dunhuang.
