The hotel is well located in city center and provides complimentary pick up/drop off service from train station. There is a direct bus which goes to mogao caves right in front the hotel- making self transport a breeze. Room is spacious and nicely designed with a large bath tub.
Apart from the hotel hardware, what really stood out was the extra mile services offered by the staff. There are 2 staff who really shine.
Firstly, Ms tong tong （彤彤）was very patient in explaining all the touristy sites around and how to get there. She helped us book performance tickets so we could enjoy some discounts. When we enquired about transfer to liu yuan, she not only checked for all the information online for us but also personally went to the bus station to find a driver who goes to liuyuan. We're so impressed with her extra mile service!! Really kudos to her great personality and service.
Next staff to mention is Mr li (李师傅）who picked us up at the train station. He suggested some dining places to us and offered to drop us off at mogao caves when we bumped into him at the hotel lobby.
Overall, highly recommend to stay at this hotel.

Excellent service mind. Manager Li is very welcome the guest. The room is large and clean. There is free pick-up and drop-off service from airport or railway station. The driver service very good.

Ask a room on the opposite side of the night market (these rooms are more expensive). Otherwise, it will be impossible to sleep.... The breakfast is very good and the management also. The staff needs to be more professional. Overall - being in a room on the opposite side of the night market - was a good experience. The rooms are extremely clean.

Our stay there is absolutely amazing! Good breakfast! Clean room with AI control of turning on and off of TV, window curtain and all lightings. Hotel provides free washing machines facilities! Staffs are all helpful. The lobby manager Madame Lee is very warm, caring and helpful! She is adorable!

Great location which is very close to the night market (which by the way is quite vibrant and has a lot of tasty foods to try out). Room is spacious and well laid out. The only small issue is that their parking space nearby the entrance is quite limited and the underground parking seemed to be shared with others and had limited space as well since we ran into the “full” sign and were not able to use it.

The online booking process via trip.com was very smoothly and quick. The contact with the hotel was very nice and the hardware of the hotel was just first class and I feel like at home although we spent only four nights there…
The airport transfer with driver Mr. Wu was just marvelous. He is very nice and professional and I would like to recommend to all hotel guests to use this service!

This is my second review of Silk Road YiJun Hotel—and I can confidently say it’s one of the best places to stay in Dunhuang.
I initially booked a desert campsite for my last night but canceled upon arrival as it didn’t meet expectations. Needing a reliable solution, I returned to Silk Road YiJun, where the incredible **Xiaxia (小夏)** once again went above and beyond. Without hesitation, she researched alternatives and presented thoughtful options tailored to my needs. However, after my earlier booking disappointment, I chose to spend another night at the hotel—a decision I’m so glad I made!
My new room was even better than the first, and the entire staff remained consistently warm and professional. **But Xiaxia truly stands out—her proactive kindness and problem-solving skills are unmatched!**
If I return to Dunhuang, I’ll stay here without hesitation, thanks largely to her outstanding service.
