This stay is the highlight of our Silk Road trip.
Some reviewers mention dirt, well, that's to be expected for a location in the desert.
It's the experience of staying overnight in the desert. Having the view without the crowds that make this hotel highly unusual and amazing for those of us who wanted the uniqueness of it.
I would love to come back one day to see the stars as this time we stayed during full moon. Love it.

Very nice location away from the crowded Ming Sha Shan. Camp site is very safe. A bit troublesome to move out to main tourism area as you need to take the camp site transport to go to reception before you can hail a cab.
Food is average.
Rv car is smaller than expected.
Disposable towels provided which I think they can do away with it to score more points.
Overall nice camping experience. Superb views.

Super cool environment, you feel alone in the desert. The only downside to this is that no taxi drivers want to go there so it's difficult to come back from the attractions.

Difficult to get DiDi car at the hotel. Other than this, it is all good. We manage to see stars at night in middle of desert. The environment is it amazing. Definitely will come back again in future.

I really enjoyed my stay here, it feels like you are right in the middle of the desert. Staff were friendly and drove me to the reception and helped me take some photos.

A beautiful location, right in the dunes. That is the highlight of the stay. We weren’t given any information about getting there before I reached out to the hotel. Also not much information about availability of food etc. The staff very kindly got some snacks for us as provided dinner was incredibly expensive. For the price, I was also frustrated towels were disposable. Also breakfast was not very appetising. Very nice staff, great location but very expensive for what it is.

One of the best stays we had in China. Such an adventure. We can 100% recommend going here.
We stayed in a RV directly next to dunes. The RV was very luxurious and super clean. There is a lot of activities to do such as sledging or going with one of the dune buggies.
Top!

I was very satisfied. Searching for desert camping hotels in Dunhuang on xhs turned up a ton of negative reviews, but my own search revealed that many reviews were fake, with many lacking any real-life photography. But since I was in Dunhuang and really wanted to spend a night in the desert, I chose this hotel, which had both positive and negative reviews, but at least had genuine reviews. It proved to be a great choice. Before check-in, the hotel's host thoughtfully called to ask if I needed airport pickup. This was the only hotel on my Gansu trip to Dunhuang, Wuwei, and Zhangye that proactively asked about this. The host was excellent and responsive to all requests. I was concerned about the soundproofing in my tent, so I booked an RV. The RV was fully equipped, and the bathroom water temperature was just right. Of course, the best part was that the hotel had its own private desert location, not shared with other campsites. It was incredibly quiet. In the mornings and after sunset, I could enjoy the nearly deserted desert, which was incredibly romantic. At night, I could even see the drone light show at Mingsha Mountain (it was far away, but I could see it). The hotel also has a wide selection of sandbar dinners, with set menus ranging from 400 to 1000, which is quite affordable. The food is delicious, and there are singers and bonfires to liven up the atmosphere. I was very satisfied. This is the first time I've written a review on Ctrip in all my years. I recommend it to travelers who come to Dunhuang and want to stay in the desert. It's worth it.

I'm telling you to give up! I'm telling you to give up! I'm telling you to give up!
1. The experience was terrible, especially the fact that the hotel is located on a former cemetery. A short distance up the hillside next to the hotel, we noticed numerous mounds of graves. We spoke with the driver, who assured us that the sandy land where the hotel is located was once a cemetery, and that the graves were later bulldozed to build the hotel. To verify this, we checked the satellite map on our phone, and indeed, numerous dense, regular rectangular depressions were clearly visible on the surface of the hotel area. The driver explained that this is a characteristic of traditional local burial grounds. After learning this, I felt completely apprehensive about being there.
2. Getting around was incredibly inconvenient. The drive to Crescent Lake was an hour's drive away, and the traffic was incredibly congested. I couldn't even order takeout at night, so I had to settle for a small cup of instant noodles. The wait for the shuttle from the hotel lobby to my room took at least an hour both at check-in and check-out. It was such a waste of time, considering it's only a five-minute drive away. 3. The interior of the RV was extremely basic. The bathroom was so cramped that the toilet was barely seatable, and the shower drain was also problematic. The RV's soundproofing was extremely poor, and the wind was strong and constant at night, severely disrupting my sleep. I reported this to the staff, but they simply told me it was normal in the desert, with no effective solution offered. Furthermore, learning that we were staying on a former cemetery was incredibly disconcerting, leaving me unable to sleep nearly the entire night.
4. The RV was infested with insects, in every corner, on the bathroom floor, and on the bed. This not only affected the appearance and hygiene, but also raised concerns about bites (I discovered several red spots on my legs that looked like insect bites).
5. The staff's service was slow to respond, requiring a long wait for everything, and their response was extremely inefficient. The hotel's customer service number was constantly disconnected, and I called at least eight times before someone answered, and they seemed impatient.
This experience was completely unworthy of the stay, and it was located on a cemetery. I recommend choosing carefully and carefully!
