I was very fortunate to stay at Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. It was the most satisfying stay during my trip. I originally booked another hotel. When I passed by Sunshine Shazhou Hotel, the hotel building area was quite spectacular in the urban area. I personally felt that it was the largest hotel and the architectural style had a unique style of the Western Regions. As soon as I entered the hotel parking lot, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff. Xiao Qiao, the front desk of the hotel, introduced the details of the hotel very professionally and took us to see the room. Xiao Qiao's professional service was recognized by my husband and wife. We simply refunded the original hotel and chose Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. When we checked in, the hotel front desk also upgraded our room. Xiao Qiao personally helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The relevant information of tourist attractions and food streets and precautions during the trip were introduced in detail! During the check-in process, they will appear as soon as we need help. The just-right service made us feel what it means to be at home! Because of Xiao Qiao's impeccable service, our trip to Dunhuang has added a touch of color. Overall, Sunshine Shazhou Hotel is indeed a good choice. At the same price, this is definitely your best choice for a trip to Dunhuang. Here is a little suggestion: The hotel can make some special power cards, otherwise the power card and room card will be confused and it will be very troublesome to take the wrong card at breakfast!

The hotel is an old hotel, clean and hygienic, with thoughtful service. Because we arrived on New Year's Eve, we upgraded the room type. Xiao Du at the front desk was very nice, and reminded us that there might be no restaurants open for dining during the New Year. Coming from the south, I felt it was too dry, so I added a humidifier. You won’t regret staying here. In summary it’s a very nice hotel (quite large actually) that is perfectly located (about 1km walking from the sand dunes (Mingsha mountain and Creacent Moon spring area). Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the architecture is also really nice. The views from the roof top terrace (breakfast/ coffee spot) are amazing and the breakfast itself is also quite good. The downside that’s also to mention: Price wise it’s a bit expensive especially during holiday season. Rooms are a bit old and you can hear everyone passing by.

I came to Dunhuang late for the National Day holiday, and all the good hotels were sold out. Fortunately, I got this nice hotel, but it was a standard room without windows. The room was quite spacious and had a bathtub. The hotel is about four stars overall, and the breakfast is not bad. There is not much to eat around the hotel, but you can order takeout.

Accommodation in Dunhuang is relatively cheap in the off-season, and the service is also relatively good. When I went there, the room I booked had some problems with ventilation, and they immediately helped me solve it and arranged a room opposite. The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.
