Great 3 bdrm unit for 5 ladies for 2 nights. Great shower and hot water for us all. Had everything we wanted and was quiet. Nice and handy to everything. Even the meal from the little onsite shop was good before a big night out dancing. Would stay again. Thank you

The Wi-Fi signal is completely worthless. The games room has all Sky TV channels, but they lock it pretty early. Shower heads in the showers are built for midgets. The take-away food place out the front was the highlight. Very good value. The meals were big and the fish burger with Blue Cod was a particular highlight!

The kitchens and lounge are locked at 9pm until 7am; leaving me alone with my kids in a tent in the rain with no warm lounge to sit in nor any way to make a hot drink or heat up the kids wheatbags until morning. Kitchens are poorly stocked; you have to bring all your cookware as well as crockery and cutlery, and an oven tray for the oven and everything. The hire boxes of crockery/cutlery/cookware are ok, but still lacking and not clearly specified how much you are expected to bring for yourself. What am I paying for when so little is being provided and I’m locked out of half the facilities?? And the grass is all full of onehunga **** (prickles) making it impossible to play on the grass properly. Fix the prickles, put your coded locks on the kitchens and lounge so guests can still use them, and be more specific in your information as to how much you have to bring along with you and it would be better. But I won’t ever stay there again.

The most ridiculous shower heads I have ever used They are the wrong height and wrong heads (about the size of a milk bottle top).the worst showers I have come across at any camp in NZ.Apart from that a great camp

We arrived at the holiday park and immediately had to pay extra for bedding which although we knew coming in we had never had to do before. The ‘free wifi’ offered is slow and difficult to connect to at times. The cabin seemed smaller than we anticipated, and the ‘double room’ we paid for had an additional bunk on top of the bed so you couldn’t sit up on the bed really. Although it was very cheap so we shouldn’t really have expected any differently. The staff were friendly though

We stayed 3 nights in a powered site. Our first time staying here as our usual one was closed. The site itslef was good. Facilities were poor. One of the female bathrooms was closed for renovations. The other is in desperate need of a refresh. The showers were not great. Plenty of them though so didn't have to wait. Close to the beach which was nice.

I've stayed at this camp a lot in the past. Was never the quietest or nicest. But at least it was reasonable. The price for a powered site has gone up alot and facilities need some TLC. Pitty, was a good location. Seems to reflect recent posts.

The unpowered camping area was pretty scary at times. A big group of dirt bike (or something like that) arrived with trailers and parked them in the camping area. It was really uncomfortable for those camping and they got mean when asked to move one of the vans away from a family tent. A group of drunk middle aged men roamed the campground at night looking for fights with people in the tent area. I ended up sitting up in the car to watch out for my family sleeping in a tent. The drunk group roamed around the campground putting a stereo behind tents, starting their engines in their vehicles and then threatening campers as they struggled out of their tents to see what was happening. They came back and did this to different campers three times between 1 - 3am. It was a frightening place to have sleeping kids. The out of hours number was apparently on the office door but I couldn't leave my children to get to that. It would be good to have it on the out of hours phone message. I told the camp office in the morning that it had been frightening and didn't feel they had much interest. I was told I should have called the police. Given how many of the drunk group where staying at the campground (5 or 6 families) and they had already been threatening and we were in a tent it seemed like we just had to put up with the aggressive group. It would have been nice if the office had followed up with us the next day. We couldn't sleep and I definitely felt the racing group with all the big trailers should have been given an area to park their trailers in that wasn't in people's tent sites. Would have avoided a great deal of drama. The tent camping area is also close to what seems like Dunedin's main area for boy racers. From 7pm - 3am cars doing wheel spins, racing and skids. It's so noisy for an 'out of the central city' campground. Might be time for the campground management talked to police or council about it. It's noisy and it seemed like we couldn't even go up on that beach road with so much crazy driving. I'm not sure why it's not policed? Loss of traction, speeding and so on is policed in other cities in New Zealand. Kitchen and cabins run down and not very clean for the money. Generally a bit shabby and rough. Nice warm showers, great laundry room. It is good to be able to see the playground from the kitchen.

Well located close to Dunedin, but still driving distance to shops. park was a little crowded and some 'polite diplomacy' required to shuffle people around to get them on their own site and get close enough to our own power / water supply. Plenty of showers and toilets in communal areas and everything worked. Park WiFi was a bit of a struggle until (presumably) most of the park kids went to bed and stopped hogging the 'net, then it took off and worked as good as home wifi, was great to have some comms back to Oz.
