The house is full of history, the kitchenette is well-equipped, and there is an electric heater on the bed to keep out the cold nights. It is very close to the university and botanical gardens.

Amazing manger,, staff,, polite, friendly, helpful., always asking if I need help?, tell me have a good evening., and when I had friends call in at motel have been more than welcoming. Telling me the best places for food, walks, or to go chill ,. I’d definitely recommend to call in and stay again 👍

Awesome service I had been looking for accommodation most the night before and the next morning for a motel that I could stay the whole week as the all blacks game was playing I was very lucky to get a room .. and wasn’t charged a mass amount as others ( hotel:motel) had for the all blacks game being played.. wanting to stay longer had no trouble extending my stay.. cleanings wasn’t to my standards, worked in house keeping in 5 star hotels I’d expect more, but I’m a clean freak so was able to get the place clean, bed very comfy, staff very friendly, makes you feel welcomed, always asking if I need anything, or can help with anything.. I’d definitely recommend if needing accommodation this side of the city, it’s close to everything you need.. and still close enough to town..

The place is bad. We travelled with dogs and yes, we get what’s left usually but this was the pits. Asked if our dogs shed? What would it matter with the carpet as is? Everything is damaged.the doors are broken the light was missing a bulb - the entrance door had gaps underneath. The blind in the kitchen was gross.

This is the best motel/hotel you will find in Dunedin. In my opinion, the rate/price is very cheap and the luxury and location is premium. Reception was the most polite, lovely, warm, friendly I've ever encountered in New Zealand. The housekeeping was daily, midday, and very polite, and efficient yet pristine clean. The whole experience there was totally excellent. Cosy clean room. Polite, friendly, lovely staff. Great housekeeping. The design of the building was very ideal. Extremely close to a dairy, university, grass field, and heaps of food outlets. The best place I've stayed in Dunedin and I've stayed in 5 hotel/motels so far. Also the neighbours were super friendly and polite across the fence. Thank you so much to the management. Best recommended accommodation in Dunedin. The people who post negative reviews must be rude and overly entitled and is an unfair reflection on the quality.

Filthy bedding, furniture. Stains on chairs. Pillow (singular) slab of foam which made sleeping impossible. Normally there is spare bedding. For the two nights we stayed, we paid extra for our non-shed dog, as that’s considered cleaning fee. There was no cleaning done during our stat only the bins emptied, as the teen I took with me removed so much dirt and rubbish between the couch cushions to find 2 x $1 coins. I was disappointed, as it’s so close to everything. But really shouldn’t be described as a motel.

Was put off immediately by the musty smell of wet carpet in the office. The rooms were VERY dated with basic amenities and smelt old. The gardens were overgrown with weeds. Very tight parking area. No love given to this property by the owners.
