A utter disappointment. So bad that upon arrival, we had to leave... fast. The photos advertised are misleading. The motel is skid row style. Dirty walkways, horribly in disrepair. This motel should NOT be permitted to operate. It was obvious that the monthly renters were enjoying the skid row, smoking outside their room doors, staring at new arrivals. Located in ... you guessed it: skid row. Stay away at all costs. It's a total dive.

Stayed 2 nights at Duncan Motel. The place is not the most attractive. Everything looks old and needs a renovation. The room is not cosy, but big with a separate bedroom, a big bathroom, and a kitchen with a seating area. And everything worked well, so no problems. Coffee maker and coffee pods and tea is provided. Soap, shampoo, shower gel and body milk is provided too. The lady at the reception was very kindly. Location is very good. The bus stop for BC Transit Busses to Victoria, to Chemainus and to Nanaimo is at about 1 km from the hotel. Next to that bus stop is a big supermarket. It is about the same distance to the center of Duncan, a nice little town with beautiful totems. There are restaurants close to the hotel.
