We spent 2 days in the hotel for Birthday and soon to be mum. The hotel is nice and clean. The room is big (bit outdated though) and clean, with all amenities and very accessible. (No sound on tv) The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and various. Dinner was fine. Only thing is that reception never told us that we should book a table at the main restaurant, and it was fully booked so we ended up having dinner at the bar downstairs. It was fine and it is pubs food, not what we wanted. The Spa is very nice, I had a massage, it was amazing, haven't felt like this for a long time. Overall, we had a nice stay, but better to come on weekdays. It gets really packed on weekends.

Was all going gd until we arrived at the restaurant the receptionist booked us into for our evening meal. On arrival staff could not find the booking! We were told to wait over in the corner while they seated other guests !
The staff told us we had no booking so marched us out of the restaurant and up stairs to another area to eat it was v busy and service quite slow. Payment for the meal had to be made there & then as receptionist had not added my card to our room!!
We spoke to the receptionist that evening she apologised & said she’d speak to staff who checked us in. Nxt morning on check out no mention of lost booking so when they said was everything ok I said except for the non booking of table last night. Oh yes I saw that on your notes !!! Just an apology.

Disappointed by the Linen
We stayed for 1 day for a wedding, room was basic. Had adjoining doors, didn’t like that.
One complaint, the linen was not to standard. One hand towel had a black mark, pillow cases had black mark.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. It also had a large bathroom with both bath and separate shower. Lovely fluffy towels. We had a problem with the hot water in the shower and this was rectified immediately. There was nothing i did not like about this hotel, highly recommended.

Good enough stay but not sure value for money
Room wasn’t ready at 2pm - but didn’t realise check-in was 4pm (which is quite late in comparison with a vast majority of other hotels). Didn’t receive any info at check-in so had to initiate eg breakfast times&location, bars&restaurants.
Decor in foyer & bars& communal area was lovely - very comfortable with lots of wee nooks & seating areas.
Bedrooms were very spacious with lots of storage. Bathroom was decent but a bit tatty in areas eg grotty grout & silicone, yellow mismatched bath panel. Shower wasn’t powerful at all.
Breakfast was ok - not a massive selection - and a very tight area & heavily congested.
Staff were pleasant enough, not overly friendly or interested but still pleasant.
The biggest peeve was having to pay an extra €25 per person for spa usage! I’ve never had to pay extra for spa when I’ve been a guest! Needless to say we never used it.
Overall it was a nice enough stay but not sure it was value for money.

2 night b&b stay. So pleasantly surprised how beautiful rhe hotel is. Much much nicer than website shows. Lovely ambience and fabulous service. Very friendly staff who are the happiest I've seen in most hotels. Niamh is particularly helpful and very entertaining, nothing was too much trouble. Entertainment on both nights was brilliant. Everyone really enjoying themselves singing along with the music and up dancing. Will most definitely be back. Highly recommend
