My daughter and I had a fabulous trip to The Cairndale Spa on Sunday for our birthdays. We were welcomed with a lovely hot cloth and a cold smoothie! Then to the lovely changing rooms with super fluffy green robes and slippers to use, presented in a cute bag. The changing rooms had hairdryers and GHD straighteners. The spa itself is superb, beautiful swimming pool with various jacuzzi bubbles and water jets. A nice jacuzzi pool and several sauna and steam rooms - we had a wee shot in all of them but didn’t go so far as to use the ice bath! In between you can relax on the funky loungers. We had a lovely glass of Prosecco while chilling in the egg chairs by the pool. There are also relaxing water beds which was certainly a first for me! So comfy. After spending nearly 4 hours relaxing we showered, changed and went upstairs again for a lovely 2 course lunch. The staff were all very attentive and we were made to feel special. We even got birthday cards. All in all a super experience and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful - thoroughly recommend this experience.

Arrived for a weekend break with friends. Good parking and lovely reception area. We went to our rooms to drop our cases off. Quite surprised with the rooms. very small and dated. The room had a nice bathroom and a powerful shower. We went out for diner and returned later. The bed was terrible and so uncomfortable, and also the constant traffic noise through the night was unbearable. If you are thinking of staying, maybe ask for a room away from the front of the hotel. We went to breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed what was on offer, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were thinking of having a swim in the spa but were told we had to book a session and that it would cost £90 per couple. We decided not to bother so can't really comment on it.

Hubby and I attended a spa and afternoon tea package for my birthday in the 10th December. I’ve been to lots of spas, both in the UK and abroad and this was one of the nicest. Friendly helpful staff, stunning spa area with lots of different steam and sauna rooms, comfy loungers, waterbeds and changing facilities. The afternoon tea was superb. Well worth a visit.

Me and a friend visited the hotel on the Sunday slumber offer . It was fantastic value for money . First off we were greeted my a lovely guy on reception and our room was ready 30 mins early which was good . A lovely lady from the spa showed us to our room , we just dumped our bags as we were booked into the spa also . We received a bag with towel , robe & slippers . The hotel had an event going on in the spa for Xmas on the same day so we received free Prosecco and canapés on arrival to spa . The spa is the best I’ve been too and I’ve been to a lot ! Very peaceful and relaxing with very attentive staff . I enjoyed some time on the water bed relaxing which was a tiny bit of a shame the event was on as you could hear chatter . The lovely lady then said we could use the spa free of charge again in the morning . We ordered a cocktail each , the mojito was great the porn star martine was far too sweet and very much like syrup . We then had a very relaxing hour massage each . After the massage we went to the relaxation room before heading back to the spa , which we had to our selfs . It was absolute bliss ! We headed back to our room to get ready for dinner . This is when I realised the room especially the bath room was not cleaned properly . There was hair clips and old false eye lashes on bathroom floor , the mirrors hadn’t been cleaned the bath was Grimey and visable dust in bedroom . I reported to reception and they offered us a new room . We declined as we were in a rush to get ready for dinner so they cleaned the bath . Dinner and the service in restaurant was 10/10 . Breakfast for buffet style very basic . Over all we will definitely be back :-) and Thank you to all the staff for all being lovely & helpful couldn’t have done more for us .

Booked a full day spa which included lunch and treatment. Was lovely but would be great if water despenser where in pool area to help ourselves to when using hot rooms and spa area is very warm so water need alot. , instead we have to ask and wait a while for someone to bring a small glass. Lunch was lovely and treatments . Party of 6 but treatments were near end off day with 2 at 4.45 pm and we had arrived at 11am so made it a very long day and ladies who had to wait, just wanted to go home. So small things easy sorted. Place was clean, friendly and worth going and will return.

We had a lovely work night out in the Spa. Claire and Eileen were brilliant. Can’t comment on treatments as we didn’t have any. We are all therapists so we just enjoyed a wee chill and had a great time with a few laughs. Ive been to and worked in a few spa’s in my life and this one is up there in my opinion. The only negative I have to add is the waiter (young lad) at our dinner. Long story short he wasnt best pleased being there nevermind being helpful when asked a question, in fact he shrugged and just said he didn’t know which we found quite disrespectful. The food was great and everything else was lovely. We will be back

The Cairndale Spa as an absolute joy from start to finish with very friendly and welcoming staff that excelled in all their roles. The Spa itself has been refurbished to a very high standard and all the treatments that my family experienced that afternoon were all very enjoyable. All the staff including those serving lunch in the restaurant were excellent but a special mention for Regan, she was very helpful and welcoming.

Upon entry it's immediately clear that the Cairndale has undergone significant investment & upgrade. The lobby and lounge areas are very smartly decorated and the mural up the stairs is fabulous. We had two luxury king size rooms on the first floor which were large and well appointed with a good modern bathroom with spa bath. Unfortunately we had heating problems in our room, initially none at all then after maintenance too much with no thermostatic control. Staff did try to resolve the issues but without success. We also had two security incidents with our room because the doors are not self locking and had no supplementary internal security device. Firstly the heating maintenance man tried to enter the room at 0715 without even knocking (he had apparently been told the room was vacant and had heating problems!) and one afternoon another guest was trying to enter having mistaken for his own room! We ate one evening in the lounge as the Riever's Restaurant did not open but the menu was available to us. Food and atmosphere both good. Breakfast was average at best, rather disappointing! We also took part in the Friday evening St Andrew's event. Dinner was too early, rushed and spartan. We had an hour to wait before the entertainment started in the Park House venue which was not well organised. However Brandon McPhee was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed his accordion music & songs. Overall the Cairndale is a good hotel and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
