Premier Inn Dumfries

Avoid this Premier inn! rooms need updating bad odour present. Worst of all was the restaurant poor food, breakfast was rubbish undercooked or over cooked and cold! one morning no cooked breakfast, kitchen malfunction was the story trotted about by a young girl [sacrificial lamb] who had to face the guests alone. i will carry on staying at premier inns but never here again!

Super comfy bed, spotless room, friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast. easy parking, and well located.

I stayed for 3 nights and felt relaxed in the hotel. I was happy to have a bath in the room as I was very busy exploring during the day. Though it is situated just off the A75 exit I heard NO traffic noise whatsoever. The hotel was spotless, staff very friendly and helpful and well cared for....my windows were washed while I was there! There are top ups of tea, coffee, milk in the foyer which is excellent service. There is a restaurant on site but I did not eat there as I out exploring most of the day. I cannot praise this hotel and staff sufficiently as they went above and beyond their duty. I am an 80 year old traveller who felt extremely safe.

We were a group of 12 friends travelling and playing golf and chose to stay at a couple of premier inns on ours travels. The rooms are all ok and the staff were mostly great Apart from the meal last night we arrived at 7pm booked a table for 8 pm After that it was RUBBISH It took an hour to serve us by which time we were told that the restaurant was closing? I sent my meal back since the mixed grill was overcooked to the extent of being burnt and cold. Everyone’s meal meal was cold but they were more hungry than me and mostly ate it. The manager refused to talk to me and left it his staff - who were polite and professional.

As usual we had a great stay. The staff are great in both the restaurant and the Hotel. We stay here every few months, quick check in, rooms are spotless, friendly helpful staff, free parking, restaurant next door or we drive in to Dumfries town. Some lovely places to eat along the cost/ estuary. Definitely be back soon.

Very friendly check in staff and the usual excellent night's sleep I've come to expect from Premier Inn. This is a big hotel so the breakfast was buffet style rather than cooked to order which I've had (& much preferred) at other Premier Inns. My only gripe was the lack of orange juice at the breakfast buffet, replaced by something called 'Tropical Juice'. Disappointing but let's be honest it's a 1st World problem eh? Would I go back to the Premier Inn at Dumfries? Absolutely. Would I have the cooked breakfast next time? Probably not.

Spot on premier inn , speedy check in quite location, food at table table I found it to be spot on and so did my family members no complaints, drinks little pricey but it is what it is , overall 10 out 10 would definitely stay again ideal clean base to explore the area

Super friendly team as always, Anna in the kitchen makes great scrambled eggs, Freya looked completely in control despite it being only her second breakfast sitting, and Angela and Alex masterminded an incredibly busy Easter Monday breakfast. The free WiFi is a bit uncooperative, I assume to make you pay for Ultimate. It was ok though.

This is a Premier Inn, it does what it says on the tin. Perfectly comfortable and clean however avoid the restaurant do not book the meal deal here, the Table Table restaurant attached to this restaurant is the worst Premier Inn restaurant for dinner. Long waits, poor staff run off their feet and doing their best, food cold, burnt or inedible. Half the food menu is not available. No house wine then expect you to pay the £1.50 supplement for their "better" wine because that is all they have. We could not believe how poor this was. Apparently their delivery day is a Thursday, well hello, it was Thursday. We thought oh well, off night or 2 nights but then I read the other reviews and it seems it is like this all of the time. Premier Inn need to take a look at this restaurant and take note of these reviews, it is poorly managed. It must only be a matter of time before someone becomes quite ill from eating here, the food is badly cooked, like I said half of it not available and what was was either cold or burnt or both at the same time. My advice stay here but do not eat here.
