Premier Inn Dumfries

The hotel was lovely and clean and well kept I had breakfast in the restaurant Angela and Ann were lovely quick service and hot breakfast they made us very welcome big thanks

Would have been nice but we couldnt check in without an online booking and I couldnt get my payment through. The site kept crashing.

We used this hotel as a stopover on our back to the ferry terminal. It's well situated being just off the main road. Although the room we were in is beginning to look tired, it was clean and comfortable as always. No air-con but a fan was available. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Angela at breakfast and a big thank you to Lewis the champion porridge maker. Have used this hotel before and will certainly use again.

Over the years I have stopped at many Premier Inns across the UK. I have always been happy to do so. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, as well as being reasonably priced. I usually stay for at least two days. The rooms are always serviced daily, with fresh towels, and the room cleaned a tidied. Not at the Dumfries branch. When I mentioned this to the receptionist he said that I hadn’t requested it. I have never had to. When we arrived there was one person in front of us. It took over twenty minutes to book them in. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she thought it was hilarious, with a good giggle. There seems to be a lack of professionalism at Dumfries. I won’t be stopping there again.

Location not the best for visiting Dumfries if you don't want to drive, but there is a bus stop with fairly frequent buses outside (Check Timetable). It is a fair walk to Dumfries but is good for the fitness levels. Our room was excellent very clean. It was very warm during our stay but the room did have a good fan. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was excellent in particular Angela who was cheery and helpful. On the whole an above average Premier Inn only slight downside is location.
