Nice friendly place. Good breakfast and help for the area. Would stay again as the price is quite reasonable.

We had a lovely stay once again. The few days were a birthday treat. Rena and Derek were perfect hosts. The room was clean cosy and warm. Rena even put a birthday banner up in the dining room for me.(what a thoughtful touch) The breakfast is good and ample and served in a lovely bright dining room. There is parking on site which is handy and its a short walk into Dumfries. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful quality B&B, very friendly and homely a**osphere. Nicely sized bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. Plenty of off-road parking. Easily accessible to Dumfries town centre, 10 minutes walk. One of the best guest houses in town. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling for work. I was greeted upon arrival and the host was great, very friendly and showed me to my room. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and food was good quality. Hotel and service were very good

We selected Hamilton House based on the many amazing reviews. We had such a wonderful experience! The hosts were beyond superb and the room impeccably clean. The options for breakfast were impressive and the food delicious! We were visiting from Canada and know that, if we are in the Dumfries area again in the future, we will certainly stay here again. This place is conveniently located near the town centre and short walk to train station. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed the quiet area and the bright, clean and airy room. Great shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure, which was welcomed after a long day of activity. Hosts are super friendly, helpful and easy going. The breakfast was delicious and you could select what you wanted and the time you wanted it on a slip of paper so everything is ready at the time indicated. You can get a hot breakfast ordered to your liking and fruit, cereal, yogurt is also available. I’d definitely stay again!

We booked Hamilton House as we were going to the Dumfries Show. We got there at 7pm and we were shown to our room by David. The room was immaculate, large and the bed was so comfy. Hamilton House is a nice 10 mins walk to the town centre. Breakfast was beautiful and nothing was to much trouble. . The gardens were well maintained and a beautiful decking area at the back. Carpark was also more than adequate for the amount of rooms. We look forward to spending more time there.

Very comfortable room with excellent en-suite facilities. Obvious that some thought had been given to the layout. Car parking was very good, with a space for every room. The location was excellent for our purposes, as car parking within the city was easy and free. For those who wish to walk, 15 mins to the centre. Breakfast was in a light and airy room overlooking green areas. The food served was tasty and well presented. Overall a first class and relaxing experience!

I was last at Hamilton house 10 years ago and nothing has changed! Ooo scary you might think? The reason nothing has changed is that, its still a great place to stay, The Hosts are fantastic and friendly and will always try to accommodate your requirements - whether thats changing your breakfast menu, or in my case, letting you have a wee sleep in, after a mad wedding in Dumfries. Hamilton House is spotlessly clean and its a joy to stay there. I have just left after 5 nights and whilst the wedding was crazy fun - Hamilton House offers you a quiet, relaxing place to chill out. I just loved my 5 nights at Hamilton House - its definitely the go to place if you need accommodation in Dumfries. Thank you Hamilton House,
