got double charged, ignored all attempts when we reached out then refused a refund. place is not as advertised and customer service is diabolically horrendous. poo place to stay also smelled rancid 0/10 experience, don’t recommend. …………

This is not the Milton Inn anymore,it's changed hands,so ignore all the pics,on all the websites as they aren't updated.We didn't know,,,the food is all vegan with just pizza,burgers.There is no bar/alcohol.Breakfast time is 0730 till 0830,,nothing is fried,no egg option,so with pre order on arrival opted for full breakfast unaware.We were there just overnight to attend a 50th birthday party near it.Yes,the location is great,(why we chose it,I lived 25 yrs nearby,so aware of location).The boss man is lovely,he wants an easy life after working all hours all his life.I agree n hope he does,,,,after organising an understudy to whip things into shape!!!I know OYO take over struggling hotels,surely they would have a basic plan to abide to? If not,like this hotel will disappear

First up - the good. It is clean, and the bed is comfortable. The shower was old and tired, and while clean needs a refurbishment, but worked. Sort of. The owner is obliging and polite, but I suspect he has never actually stayed in a hotel, and doesn't see things from the guest's perspective. The staff have a habit of disappearing out of sight and contact. And guests feeling they are not quite in control are not happy campers. I couldn't find a wifi network, and I didn't ask. Too hard, for a one night stay. Don't try phoning the hotel in advance, you will get no response. The restaurant is vegetarian, but the plant based sausages at breakfast were quite good. So overall, if you're stuck for somewhere to stay overnight, this will do. Any longer, don't bother.

What a pit! Best described as a doss house. It's dirty. The room smells of urine and is disgusting. The curtains don't close, and if you use the shower, you're likely to come out dirty! 1 towel for 2 of us. The floor in the bathroom is grimy as well as the inside of the shower. No way would I consider eating breakfast here! The kettle in the room is filthy. No mattress protector on the bed or pillows either. All in al, a one-star review is generous, and I think it should be shut down! For £72 per night, and payable in advance by the way, I feel I have been fleeced! DO NOT STAY HERE!

This hotel should not be open! We didnt stay any longer than 1p minutes after checking in as it was absolutely grotty and so run down! Things were broken and the place was very smelly! I booked through agoda and the hotel are refusing to give a refund as they told Agoda we were a "no show " . As far as we are concerned, this place should be shut down until it has had a good clean and upgrade! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING PLACE!
