Premier Inn Dumbarton/Loch Lomond

Well, what can I say. This certainly has to be one of the worse Premier Inn's that I have ever stayed in. The reception staff at check-in, if they are there, are unhelpful and brusque, the breakfast is a disaster and the room 'Tidy up' is hit and miss. Breakfast here is stressful. Always have to ask for things to be filled up, most of what they advertise isn't on show, constantly running out of things, chef and staff with attitude and extremely dirty tables at peak times, only cleaned when required. Asked for an extra hand towel because for some reason a twin bedded room comes with two bath towels and one hand towel. Can't understand the logic for that. Asked for an extra one for the following day, told it wouldn't be a problem but it never did show up. I gave up in the end. Stayed here about 6 yrs ago, and it was a really nice and well run place, so much so came back. Each subsequent year it has deteriorated. Definitely won't be going back....ever. Premier Inn used to be a good go to budget hotel. Now they are extremely pricey in terms of what they provide. Will now go to the Holiday Inn, better service, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast!

Absolutely fantastic staff, we traveled for a skate competition and the staff were so lovely and really made our trip even more enjoyable. Fantastic place! Fantastic staff

When we arrived after a long journey we where welcomed at check in and young women explained about eating etc , we stayed in accessible room as it was a late booking , the room was spotless and the bed was amazing, The trouble we had for a four night stay we had about one night sleep due to people banging the doors , people above us running or jumping and kids in corridor running to room to room from 10 to about 5 in morning, this was reported at the time to no no avail The free WIFI is shocking in this day , so paid to upgrade to quicker and fastest WiFi to no avail, many people complained about this reply was to contact Virgin

Overall really good stay however taking 1 star off due to not being able to open the window in the room (not even a little bit, as the window was completely sealed), and restaurant area being too small and running out of items. The staff are superb and the hotel is overall very clean and located in a prime location. Not sure why the windows in most rooms are designed not to open at all.

We have had an amazing trip made all the more special by your members of staff. I would like to thank Rachel, Julie and Charlie for their service, they have made staying here 100 times better. They have offered fantastic local knowledge and advice that has made it easier to see the beautiful area. I am so grateful to them for their fabulous attention that they give everyone who comes through the door.
