Park Point Marina Inn
4.6/5100 Reviews
This hotel is in a really cool spot right on the marina. All of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be. The only ”downside” to this hotel is that you might have to wait to cross the lift bridge when a giant ship passes through!
Lift Bridge Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection
4.3/5103 Reviews
I mostly stay at Choice hotel properties and know them well. This is one of the really good ones. Everything from the front desk staff (very friendly and helpful) to the rooms was top notch. Perhaps I could ding them a half star for corridors that could use new carpet, but it's a minor complaint. Excellent wifi, and the rooms are insanely huge. The location is the thing here - you can walk out your door of your lake-facing room and be on the lake walk in about 30 seconds, and the entire canal park neighborhood is right there, walking distance. Minute or so and you're at the lift bridge. Couple of minutes and you're at the restaurants. Just nothing to complain about here. Yes, it's pricey, but given this is a tourist heavy area with likely a limited tourist season as I expect this location has some staggeringly brutal winters, it's understandable. Highly, highly recommended.
Pier B Resort

Good location, close to the cruise terminal, should be the best hotel in Truce. But the room was not cleaned every day, no hot water no drinking water... Breakfast is on the first floor of the hotel, you need to pay, the product is OK
Sheraton Duluth Hotel
4.1/584 Reviews
First, the room was way overpriced. Property is dated and while the lobby has been updated the rooms have not. The ceiling tile in bathroom have seen better days. There’s this weird double door to bathroom but only one side opens. So picture only walking throw half a regular door. Front staff did the minimum, not friendly but not rude. Would I have asked for help? Probably not. Though after doing a little visit around Duluth this seems to be the trend. My room, 536, was noisy. You could hear street noise and hallway. Positive was the bed was the typical Sheraton bed so it is comfy.
Beacon Pointe on Lake Superior

Free parking, large two-bedroom suite, nice lake view, clean hotel, well decorated, simple and exquisite breakfast, high cost performance
Radisson Hotel Duluth-Harborview
3.2/5100 Reviews
I want to start by saying the staff was very kind, polite, and accommodating and I have no complaints about them whatsoever. The hotel itself however is a different story. Our room and the hallways smelled like stale cigarettes. The room was very dated, not the end of the world, but the shower was so old and stained/moldy that we didn't even want to use it. We cut our stay short and left after one night. The elevator made us uncomfortable so we didn't bother to go check out the rooftop restaurant (this may not be the case for everyone, but we had read reviews from others who also felt uncomfortable in the elevator). We were also sad to see the area nearby had changed considerably over the last few years and we didn't feel safe or comfortable there (we realize the hotel can't control this but it was a contributing factor to us leaving). Overall we felt the price was very high for the quality of the hotel. For what we considered a relatively small amount more money we were able to stay in a hotel with a better parking lot, fresher/cleaner rooms, free breakfast, more amenities, and in a nicer area.
