We decided to take up your offer of an early check in so arrived at noon only to be told early check in wasn't available yet as the rooms were not serviced. We returned in the evening to unpack and have some drinks. It was difficult to work out if the "bar" was open as there was no bar just a fridge with a large padlock on it. It was difficult to get a drink, you had to find someone with a key to get a bottle (no tap beer, we were told to go next door if we wanted real beer), turns out that was the only option if you wanted a sweet Rosé wine. So next door it was (not a Whitbread pub), not bad and better than the hotels offerings. Then off to bed. I am not sure what you make your walls out of, it seems to be tissue paper. I could hear the people in the next room stirring a cup of tea, it was that badly insulated. When their children decided to run around it was clear we were going to be unable to have a lie in so off we went to breakfast. I am not sure how difficult it can be to make a mess of a buffet breakfast but you managed it. On arrival at around 9:45 on the Sunday we waited to be seen to a table. The trouble was no tables were set up, apparently the staff had been busy earlier and hadnt had time to put out the cutlery and napkin that took all of two seconds when he did do it. He then proceeded to show us where the tea and coffee making facilities were, then where the fruit juices should have been, all that was available was cranberry juice and that was there because hardly anyone drinks it. He said the orange juice we requested would be refilled. It wasnt. When we were shown to our table I asked to be sat at another table due to the detritus on the floor under our table, I even took a picture it was that disgusting. I dont think the assistant had ever heard this request before and said "sorry, we have been busy" and then ignored the other tables around us and walked off, so we sat in filth, eying up the empty orange juice jug at every opportunity but to no avail. Next to the plates and food. The plates were cold, we went to the toaster and it had to be activated twice just to give the bread a bit of a tan, the assistant said, "yes its not very good" before scuttling off again. Off to the hot section with our anaemic bread we went. The bacon was average, the fried eggs had all turned into hard yolk eggs under the lamp, no other offering off scrambled or poached eggs to be seen, nice hash browns (hurrah!), Think I hit the words limit
