We had a lovely week in Dubrovnik. This property is in a great location in the centre of the old city. Our room was small but nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The ensuite was also clean with large shower cubicle. The windows opened into a lightwell so no view of the streets, although I'm sure that is common within the old city. There is no staff on site. All communication was done via Whatapp or email. We didn't get entry instructions until the day of our flight which was a bit worrying. We struggled with luggage up the 3 flights of stairs on arrival and departure. Dubrovnik old city is beautiful but can get busy when the cruise ships come in. The streets are clean and the local people are friendly and helpful. Be prepared for lots of steps :)

It is a large hotel not far from the old town. Parking is free at the hotel. If you are with a family of four, you are better off ordering an Uber or similar taxi for €8 than waiting for the bus in the heat. A bus ride to the city costs €2 p.p. Parking in the city is screaming expensive. The hotel breakfast continues to brunch until 13:00. That is nice for those who sleep in. The food is generally okay. Don't expect culinary surprises, just good enough to eat in the hotel. The pool is large, but for the beach you have to walk out of the hotel grounds.

Great location and price. The host was very kind and gave me great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Near Old City and Lapad. Very comfortable and clean room. Sweet tarrace to chill drinking coffee. Great for everyone who wants to go everywhere by foot.

B+B on the main street of Gruž, which is the port for Dubrovnik. Short walk from the city's main bus station and a couple of cruise-ship terminals (there's a big Konzum supermarket adjoining these). Accessing the city centre (and old town) is easy via local buses which stop a few metres from front door. B+B is on a main road but I didn't find it noisy at all and slept ”like a log.” Access to the premises is via stairs, it's on the first floor. Accommodation is straightforward, nothing luxurious but clean and comfortable including the bathroom. Staff very friendly, they speak good English. They were especially helpful with stuff like looking after my luggage after checkout. Breakfast above average with fresh fruit (including banana), nice cheese and option of sitting outside on the patio. Only negative: the coffee! (Maybe I caught it on a bad day). But there are several good cafes nearby. In fact, Gruž is a very worthwhile place to explore in its own right (in fact, I much preferred it to the tourist-trap that is the Old Town). Very close by there's Dubrovnik Beer Company, one of the best beer spots in Croatia; also check out the Red History Museum, which is an excellent survey of Yugoslavian history with a Croatian slant.

We were greeted by Ana and Nikola who were very jolly, informative and helpful pointing out places to eat ,visit, the local shop and the better beach to visit. There were lots of steps yes but that is to be expected if you want the stunning views that we had. If you walk around the road way it doesn't take a lot longer and is much easier. Our apartment was fantastic very clean, comfy beds and toiletries were also supplied. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was coffee, tea and sugar as well as a couple of beers , juice and water left for us in the fridge. Ana asked on several occasions if there was anything she could possibly help with just to ask. We had a fantastic stay and recommend highly.
