Apartments Ante

Location is pretty good just over 10 minutes walk from the Old town although it's a very difficult walk up lots of steps (even if you are young and fit) and especially in the scorching heat so be warned! Apartment is spacious although decor is very old and dated and the whole place smells quite musky. Also the apartment wasn't entirely clean as it was quite dusty, the towels provided were old and brittle and smelled funny. Nice good size kitchen with stove, kettle, fridge, dishwasher etc. Air cons were fully working although one of the remotes wasn't working. No shampoo or shower gel or soap was provided.

Absolutely perfect location as great view and very close to the old town. The family owners are super friendly. We'll come back again!

Arrived to the accommodation only to find that the reservation made by us through Agoda was unexplainably cancelled! And booked by someone else… No prior notice to us about the cancellation was given, in fact we have received a confirmation email from Agoda only an hour before we arrived there. Money were not paid to the proprietor, nor refunded to us. After initial confusion, disbelief and numerous calls to Agoda, that remained answered, we realized that us as well as the owner of the property were victims of fraud or total failure in Agoda’s operations. My husband and I decided to deal with Agoda and all that mess when we are back home and with help of Marinko, the owner of the apartment, we booked another accommodation. Marinko was more than understanding and helpful considering that he was put in a horrible situation needing to kick us out as the place was booked by other people. He helped with booking for us alternative accommodation, provided free transportation to this accommodation and even provided transportation to the airport after our stay in Dubrovnik. Marinko’s apartment was comfortable, air conditioned and well equipped with nice view. As nice as it is, being typical Dubrovnik apartment, you need to walk up lots of steep steps. Heavy luggage is not recommended and some degree of physical fitness advisable.

Booked the upper level studio apartment (via Agoda as was clearer from photos there which one I was booking). It was perfection. The view is (obviously) stunning. The apartment was pristine, and had everything one would need and all in perfect working order. Excellent value too. Many steps down to and up from the old town each day, but more than compensated for by that view which was our priority (and we got quite a bit fitter). Just a 5 minute walk down to the old town, and maybe 15 mins back. Great location for the cable car too. Maria and her son Marinko were delightful (and discrete) hosts. (Tip: the candied fruits, olive oils and preserves Maria and her daughter make are delicious, and make wonderful gifts.) 100% recommend!!!
