Villa Allure of Dubrovnik

We travelled to Dubrovnik and the Villa Allure in July 2024. We were looking for a quiet base, easy walk to Old Town a pool to dip into on hot summer evenings. We were not disappointed! Maria greeted us just after we arrived, and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, but at the same time, we had the peace and quiet we needed. Breakfast gave us a range of options - fruit, cereal, continental breakfast, or a cooked breakfast. My other half had pancakes three days running. For the vegan traveller, Maria was very happy to provide soya milk for tea in the room, and at breakfast time. We stayed in the ‘Stradun’ room and loved it. Lots of original features, lovely bathroom, very clean, small terrace through a patio door. To be honest we didn’t really use the private terrace much, as the pool area was often very quiet. I also used the small but well-equipped gym on a few occasions, and unlike some bigger hotels I’ve visited, it was air conditioned, thankfully! Old Town is a short walk from Villa Allure, with all the splendour of the sand-coloured buildings, as well as a rich and sometimes sad history. The accommodation is also well-placed to get a boat to Cavtat or Lokrum. Picturesque terrace/gardens around the pool, comfy bed in our room, and a useful key-card safe for any valuables. In summary, highly recommended!

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our Croation vacation and are so glad we did. Maria was wonderful, she greeted us with a warm welcome, served us breakfast every morning and was eager to help us in any way she could to ensure our stay in Dubrovnik was an enjoyable one. We hope to return to Dubrovnik one day, there is so much more to see, and will definitely return to Villa Alure when we do!

An oasis of calm just outside the old city. I stayed for two nights after biking through Croatia. The room was large and tastefully appointed. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the hustle and bustle of old town. The front desk Maris? was helpful. Breakfast included cereals, bakery and cooked to order eggs on the terrace. The pool is a dipping pool to cool off in and is not after a hot day in the old town. I would stay here again.

Excellent location - less than 10 minute walk to walled city/old town with many restaurants and bars. Supermarket about 5 minute walk and beautiful Banja beach about the same. Accommodation rustic style in line with the property. Lovely pool and outdoor seating/sunbathing areas. Polite, friendly and accommodating staff (Maria) who also organised wine and chocolates for my husband’s birthday. We never made breakfast so cannot comment on that. I would recommend going to hotel across road (Excelsior) which i think the Villa is part of and having a drink in the bar, amazing views of the sea and old town and if there for the sunset its extra special.

Very impressed from the first moment walking in! Comfortable and welcoming vibe in this boutique hotel steps from the fortress gate and swimming beach. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed with an adjoining terrace, nice touch! Breakfast on the upper terrace in the morning, a very relaxing start to your day. Staff were wonderfully attentive to your every need including arranging a ridiculously early airport shuttle. The hotel exceeded expectations on all fronts, would definitely return to this hotel! Highly recommended!!

We check out today after 4 nights .. the villa is in a great location.. it’s 5 mins to the old city gates .. and you pass a beach and supermarket in that 5 mins . The building is beautiful and the terrace and pool are superb .. it’s a small place so you will only see a few people .. the rooms are spacious and well appointed.. but the star of the show is Maria .. who runs the place brilliantly and works really hard to make your trip memorable

Such a beautiful place - a real sanctuary of peace and elegance. Fantastic staff who were so friendly and helpful. Although not very big it was wonderful to have a pool. Great vies of the old town and sea from our stunning room (Lokrum)

We booked this after looking at the pictures but was really disappointed in general. We arrived and no receptionist so took about 30 mins to get into room and we found their was nobody around in general and lacked atmosphere. The hotel overall lacked any atmosphere and the pool area was really small and awkward in general and the noise and fumes from the road were not pleasant. Breakfast was stale and very limited. I wouldn’t recommend as pictures are deceiving. Overpriced for sure.

Stayed here for 4 nights - would definitely recommend to anyone. Location: great, 10 min walk to Old Town/Cable car/port/5 mins to Banje beach Hotel: rooms were nice & clean, pool area was sweet - towels and water available all day, gets sun all day and pool was really nice. Breakfast was good - few bits available and then you can order some cooked bits. Staff: only ever saw 1 staff member but she was always nice and helpful.
