Twin Pines Lodge & Cabins

We stayed in Cabin 23 at Twin Pines Lodge with our baby. It was exactly what we anticipated- a rustic cabin with full amenities, and great customer service. Well worth the money

We had to move up our reservation by a day at the very last minute. They answered their phones after hours and moved us up without any issues. Saved the day completely!

The cabin is historic and exactly like the pic on the website (cabin 19 per website). It was just the two of us, but the extra bed was nice to put things on. Loved the painted bedframe. Liked the sink outside the bathroom. Coffee in the room was good. Room very clean. Bathroom is small but you have your own. We would stay there again. We would have slept in the bed away from the bathroom but the mattress was a bit saggy so opted for the other one instead. With no plug in the bathroom for a nightlight, the bathroom light was a bit bright when we had to get up. Not a deal breaker. Enjoyed the cabin greatly.

The town of Dubois is very unique and picturesque. The accommodations are lacking. I couldn’t watch my game on MNF and we ate at a VFW hall. Food there was great . The hotel was nothing more than a bed and shower.

When I entered the office, a young lady opened the half door for the office and said, " Find your name." No greeting, no anything. So now I'm guessing. Find my name where? What's going on? Is this a new guessing game? I look around in the dim office light, half blind from driving 485 miles, to find pieces of paper with names on them with a room key. She also seemed put out to tell me where the room was. Rude. The room was fine. Renovated with tv, microwave, refrigerator, and tub/shower. It did not have air-conditioning. The room was not made up or serviced my entire 3 day stay. I was afraid to ask. Since no Wi-Fi password was offered at check-in, I called the number I had for the motel as there was no phone in the room. The gentleman who answered seemed put out to have to answer such a stupid question. Then he said sarcasticly, it was on the moose on the doorjamb. It was there on a silver dollar sized sticker. The print tiny, like I'm going to see it with my eye sight. Rude. When checking out, a key drop box, no people, no thank you. So in conclusion, if you like rude you are going to love this place.

It was a quaint/rustic small log cabin. The bed was uncomfortable, there was no comfortable chair. You could not turn on the light in the bathroom without the very loud vent coming on also. We could hear the vent fan from the neighbors bathroom also. It was a "duplex" of sorts with a shared kitchen area with the attached next door cabin. Just wasn't for us.
