Pretty good for a youth hostel, clean bedspreads, quilt covers and pillow covers on the bed, make your own. Girls from all over the world are very conscious, the bathroom is clean, and the bar downstairs is noisy until 13:00 in the morning, which has no impact on my good sleep.

This is a little gem in the heart of Dublin. As a Trinity student part-time it’s vital I stay local and as a student it’s also important the price is on point. What can I say about Ashfield House ? Well its staff are a dream-team and very engaging. Great vibes from your first enter and during my stay here. Conor has gone above and beyond to ensure safety and comfort and enjoyment. The fact it has a kitchen where you can cook at your own leisure is also a bonus. Beds are comfy and clean, close to all amenities and bang on for my budget! Making my journeys easier, much appreciated!

We had just gotten into Dublin, and we were able to walk in and get a room for the night. Not that that’s normal. Connor and Christian were amazing, loved hearing the harmonica from Connor and chatting with both of them. Clean rooms, great kitchen and common areas.

Great little hostel in the heart of Dublin with fantastic staff. We stayed in a dorm for 4 with ensuite and it was just as good and comfortable as a hotel for a lot less money. Will stay here again when we are next in Dublin. Really appreciated the free tea and coffee in the kitchens to help ourselves to. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The price was good. The location was good. However we booked for a group of 12 people and only got single bunks for 8 of us. Something like that. Therefore 4 of our group had to sleep on the floor, so it was a bit snug, but it was cheap! Wouldn’t return with family, but as a cheap break with friends it was ok.

All good apart from the *** vibe guy🔔 end on reception.Dudes got a beachy attitude ..Must think the ones he's rude to are English.Apart from this count everyone is cool.Plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants in close proximity inc the famous rip off Templebar area.

Hi, just letting you know that i have just had the police visit me during my last nights stay. Generally lovely and lovely receptionists, however tonight blew all the icing off every hostel i have ever stayed at (more than 100). So basically was talking to my new friend i met and explaining to her that generally i am lucky however with everything I buy technology is not my luck, i have the newest and it does not work each time, to include an iPhone 13, newest iPad, etc. everything else great however this. So we sorted out the contact method however decided email was the safest way forward due to the above. So I tried to do my booking in / checking in etc and look at the pictures of Guinness factory she took for me due to iPad not working for pics, and was talking to myself - not particularly loud, near the snacks and football table, then a crazy guy started waving at me, like crazy, I asked after I finished what he was doing (thought he had a mental health problem on first impression, went and asked him and he then said that I was interrupting his phone calls. I said dont think so as I wasn;'t particularly loud, and that the guy staying on the sofa (one of 2 or 3 guys the receptionists are letting sleep on the sofas for free while we are paying) was making more noise (as much as it wasn't annoying me, i was making a point that he was definitely louder). He said that I was interfering with all his calls still and said I was disruptive etc., I said if I am so disruptive to call the police, of WHICH HE DID!!!!!!!! So I was waiting about 2 hours plus of which immediately he abruptly told the guy they all let sleep on the sofas and hang out that he must go immediately, of which the guy was not leaving very quick of which the guy 'Christopher' enforced a quick exit after me making this point. He went. So 2 or so hours later, on my recording, I went to ask 'Christopher' if he could give me a crime number of which he refused of which I asked again politely, and still nothing, however he then proceeded to call the police again (this time about 45 minutes ago ish), I asked him the crime number and he said that they will be along shortly of which I think he called the police again but cannot be sure. So the police turned up 325B and 344B Darragh Connolly and Kevin Lynch. They were fairly polite however said that Christopher insisted that I wanted the police called, I asked for this to be sorted out here and now, however they suggested I sleep and go home tomorrow, and there isn't a problem, it needs to be sorted out with the hostel and the booking. To me there is a huge problem, I have health problems and came here to relax and find my roots of Irish have enjoyed it and now it is ruined forever because of this, not something I can just forget and certainly don't want this nasty low life human to get away with.......... He originally suggested I am over intoxicated of which I went to the Guinness factory, have had a pint and a Jamiesons over the course of a

I recently escaped from an abusive situation and have had to arrange places to stay. I have very little and it's taken time to sort myself out. I booked to stay here and paid a deposit. When I turned up I was treated coldly, my photo ID was rejected and I was left on the street in tears, my situation was ignored, no discussion or advice from them,l and I'm disabled. Of course I won't get my deposit back, no mention was made about specific ID when I booked and I've had no problems like this elsewhere, basically the man at the desk was nasty. My payment by card should be ID enough and with my passport and public services card, why was I left on the street?! Nothing at all, not 'policy' not security excuses this appalling treatment. Don't pay a place like this to keep running, book elsewhere. They were willing to put a disabled person's life at risk as well as keeping the money. They don't care about guests, just money, and to add to that, they mysteriously changed the price originally advertised, which was expensive enough, and charged another 8 euros. Avoid this hostel.
