I cannot say a single bad word about our stay. It was absolutely wonderful!! The room and especially the bed was great! The service, food, and recommendations were spot on! Was close to Trinity College, St Stephen’s Green, great shopping!

We stayed at Buswells on our arrival in Ireland for a few days. Paddy, the concierge, could not have extended us a warmer welcome on our bleary-eyed jet lagged arrival, offering coffee and pastries courtesy of the hotel! The hotel has a lovely bar and seating areas in the best sense of an old school hotel. Room was tight, but with a great bed and fabulous hot shower. All in, the nicest, most welcoming place we stayed during our stay in Ireland!

Buswells, across from the Parliament. What a grand, walkable location. Many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. There are beverages, cold continental, with meats, Cheeses, fruits and pastries and then hot entrees to be ordered. Also in each room are large bottles of still and sparkling water. Beds are comfortable; fluffy towels in the bath. Comfortable and cozy bar area with tables and fireplace.

The hotel was very conveniently located. To many of the attractions that we wanted to see. The street was very quiet and save, and near many good music venues and eateries with great variety. The hotel had a historic charm with many conveniences

Terrific location, close to most attractions and easy ride to others. The staff and breakfast are very nice. The only issue is that I called ahead to explain that I was traveling with my 90 year old mother with slight mobility issues and we were in a triple. They put us up in a top floor very tight attic room with a step into the bathroom and another large step into and out of the tub. Also the bathroom itself was moldy and smelled of mold. They needed to clean the grout and floors and install an operating fan. I kept hoping that the cleaning staff would correct this.

My sister and I stayed at the Buswell Hotel for 4 nights prior to the start of our 2-week organized tour of Ireland. The staff of the hotel and restaurant could not have been more nice. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. You can’t beat the location. Less than a 5 minute walk to Trinity College, St Stephen’s Green or Grafton Street. Love staying at a centrally located hotel when visiting a large city. Our room was a 2-twin with tub/shower combo. The bathroom was huge. There is no mini fridge in the room. I was thankful for the desk fan as I tend to run hot. Beds were super comfy. Our stay included breakfast. There’s a continental breakfast table with breads, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and yogurt or you can order off the menu. I tried the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, full Irish breakfast minus the black and white pudding and the omelette. All great choices. There is an on-site restaurant and bar.

I wanted one night in Dublin to see Riverdance in the Gaeity. I could have stayed with family, but wanted to be independent, and savour the atmosphere in the city I'd spent more than 10 years working in previously. Hotels in Dublin are not "cheap " anymore. That's just a reality- you have to shop around and be prepared to compromise. My room was an internal room, with no view, but as I wasn't planning on sitting looking out the window, I could live with that. Everything was spotless, and comfortable. Check in was seamless and all staff a pleasure to deal with. Location was excellent. Most of all what struck me was the feeling of welcome at the hotel and sense of not just being another customer. I really enjoyed my stay and would hope to stay again, if all the Americans and politicians leave me a room!!

I was booked into the hotel by a travel agency. 1 night bed and breakfast 265 euro I was checked into room 116 - in my opinion a broom closet. Had to stand on chair to open window which looked on to a massive air con medal container. Staff are great but no other room available so choice was sit in foyer for the nite or take a deep breath and bd grateful not to be in a war torn country After the shock of the room, dinner was very nice. Breakfast was excellent. As someone who has worked in retail and hospitally my whole life I understand the staff cannot change the accomodation standard.
