Gardiner Lodge is right in the heart of Dublin and has a rustic, authentic feel, though the neighborhood can feel a bit sketchy. Breakfast was good, but you have to choose a time in advance, which can make sightseeing tricky if you’re only in the city for a couple of days. The staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival. Parking is expensive and not very close, but otherwise everything you need is within walking distance or a short bus ride.

Staff were good and helped us with an early breakfast and taxi on the morning we had to leave. Room was nice and location was good for walking to downtown Dublin. Enjoyed the little roof garden area which is nice for a coffee.

Lovely interior and old world charm. Very convenient to everything. Easy to find as it is close to the Spire so you always have a reference point.

The facility overall is nice. Trying to check in and drop of your luggage is horrible. There is no area in front or in back of the building, you literally have to stop on the street in traffic and unload. The parking garage they discount is about three/ four blocks up the street.
The room we received was extremely small, we had to take turns opening luggage on the bed since there was no other room.
Temple bar area is about a fifteen minute walk, you are close to several shops.

The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating of our stay! We were able to keep our bags here for a day while travelling before check in. Their hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome.

The place is more of a hostel, it was billed as family friendly but rooms were tiny, mattresses were very thin and not comfortable, sheets had small stains on them, the shower drain was backed up and flooded the tiny bathroom, water backed up outside the bathroom onto the carpet and never dried. The toilet backed up the second day. They front desk refunded us a portion of the cost but never apologized or seemed to care much.
