I had a disappointing stay at this hotel and would rate it 3 stars due to several issues. Firstly, the lack of bell service was inconvenient, especially when arriving with luggage. Secondly, the elevator was extremely small and made it difficult to move around comfortably. These shortcomings significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope the hotel considers improving these services and facilities for future guests.

The hotel is nearby the airport and it has free shuttle to/from the airport for every 30 minutes. The room was big and comfortable. Love the breakfast buffet as it has variety of selection to eat. The metro is around 5 to 10 minutes walk for you to explore Dubai.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel and was truly impressed by their hospitality. After a long 9-hour transit flight, I was exhausted, but they accommodated me with an early check-in, which was a huge relief. Special thanks to Ibrahim at the reception for his exceptional effort and support, and to Ashraf, the waiter, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and appreciate the team for making my experience so comfortable and memorable

I stayed here because it was near the airport, although note you really need a taxi despite the fact it looks like a quick walk on the map. They charge 50 AED for pickup which is similar to the cheapest Uber, so worth it. There is a free shuttle back to the airport, every hour or two. It is effectively a small resort with plenty of bars, restaurants pools and garden areas. The room was large and OK if not special. The bathroom amenities were disappointing: no bath salts or foams, a stupidly-designed plug that comes out every time you move and no body cream. It’s not really 5* standard. Also there were no scales. I wanted to weigh my luggage. They only give you one room card so you can’t leave devices charging. These days, that is not acceptable, especially for an airport hotel. Some aspects of the breakfast were really good, others less so, but overall it did not disappoint. The guy at checkout asking you to leave a 9 or 10 review is not a good look for an international hotel chain. Finally, it was not good to be told, tired from a long flight, you have to go and email them the voucher from the online travel agent. It is clearly not necessary because it is the first time I have ever been asked for this, anywhere. As always in the Middle East though, the migrant hospitality staff are excellent. In conclusion, they need to up their game is several areas to be a proper 5* hotel.

I’d recommend it to travelers looking for a hassle-free stopover in Dubai.

It has been a fun & relaxing long weekend for me and my friends at Grand Mercure! I made two bookings separately and in separate days but they managed to grant my request for an interconnecting room. Despite the large number of visitors due to the holiday, the amenities are not as crowded as they have two pools although one is open from 8AM-3PM and the other 3PM-10PM. Pool towels are only available from 10AM onwards though 😬 Breakfast is really good too. We stayed for 5 days and the variety is great that we're not fed up by it even on our last day. They have a live egg station, with continental food and middle eastern as well. They have cold cuts, salad bar, and pastry section as well. They also have a nice coffee machine with various kinds of coffee and their staff are very attentive to accommodate all the guests. Best time is from 7-9AM. We once went at quarter to 10 and it was really crowded by then. As for the room, of course it did not disappoint for a 5-star hotel. It's equipped with its own coffee machine and coffee pods, towels, ironing board, iron, slippers, and set of toiletries. There was a problem with the chromecast in the tv but their engineer was amazing enough to lend us an external adapter and HDMI cable for our entire stay. I bought my own adapter as they said they need to collect it the next morning but they graciously left it with us for the rest of our stay and didn't bother to collect it. It's good to take note that Grand Mercure and Ibis (which is in the same building) are both dry hotels and do not offer alcohol. The nearest pub is in Millenium Hotel around 5-10 min away. All in all, we definitely recommend Grand Mercure and always come back here whenever we need a relaxing staycation. Thank you Grand Mercure! 🌟

My first trip to Dubai was a comfortable one. The accommodation fee was cheap (¥10,000/night), but it is a five-star luxury hotel chain of the Jumeirah Group. The location, hotel facilities, room size, cleanliness, view from the room, and staff service were all good. The bed was also very comfortable. The room had all the amenities. I couldn't find a hair dryer or hairbrush. There was a bathtub separate from the shower, so you can take a bath. You need to bring your own lotion and moisturizing cream. When I made a reservation with the ”24h checkout” benefit added, Trip.com said ”no prior notice required,” but this was not communicated to the hotel, so I had to inform the hotel at the front desk when I checked in. You may need to be careful with the unique efforts of reservation sites. It takes time to request and confirm with the staff. The female staff member who helped me was kind and changed my checkout to the evening. Also, the cleaning staff member Mutwalibi san left a nice letter and surprise in my room. I was very satisfied with the pleasant and comfortable stay.

Great choice for early departure flights. I had about 20hrs layover in Dubai with early morning departure flight and I was looking for a hotel with quick access to the airport by metro. And this hotel was just that. Keep in mind that it’s about 5 mins walk from the station. The room was spacious and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Also there are some restaurants right next to the hotel, nearby is a mall too. My only issue was that my room was a bit too dark. The light would not lit the room very well. It was okay with me coz I only needed to sleep in the room. But it might be an issue if I planned to do some work in the room. Overall, I would recommend to stay there if you need something near airport. Great value for your money.

My 4-night stay at Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Festival City was superb although location wise it's quite far away from the convenience of metro. The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities exceeded expectations, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout. Buffet breakfast was a stand-out with plenty of choices and delicious choices. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate requests promptly and courteously. Additionally, the hotel's adjacency to the mall provided convenience for dining and shopping options, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Festival City for travelers seeking a blend of luxury, convenience, and excellent service.
