Deposit by check-in was a robbery amount. Bathroom amenities was rare, for room cleaning i had asked twice. So shown up afternoon 3PM for cleanup...... Breakfast & Dinner was acceptable. Its not known how much was charged for. Pool arrangement & free chairs, was great and good for relax without trouble. I count a 3 of 5

Arriving late in the evening, I needed to have a quick check-in and Antone from Front Desk delivered on that. He was lovely welcoming us and then Aditya, who always welcomed us with a genuine smile whenever we ran into him at the hotel, helped us with our luggage . The hotel's lobby and public spaces are lively, colourful, sweet-smelling with a rich list of songs playing at the background. If you want to enjoy a pool game or foosball with a friend or another hotel guest you just met, join in the fun. I would like to stress the cleanliness of the hotel. Well done Housekeeping department and everyone involved in making this property as clean as it is. I loved the room, how spacious it is (just compare its size to other hotels of the same range), the layout, how heavenly comfortable the mattresses and pillows, and get this, if you, like my mother, prefer shower enclosure over bathtub, request a room with one. What makes breakfast at Aloft Al Mina special? The food tastes good and they have got a balanced variety that will set the guests for the day. That being said, it's the staff (Talent) and I have a few stars to mention who made us feel welcomed everyday with their warmth, smiles and attention to detail. So here I am handing virtual roses to Chathurika, Naseeba, Gundu, Ali, Albin and Joyis. Their smiles and energy lift up the room and wait till you see them care for the little ones carrying their orders and walking beside them till reaching their tables. They will remember your coffee or tea the way you like it and take you to your favourite spot at the restaurant. They handle unexpected situations with professionalism and calmness bringing ease and comfort to the guests. More virtual roses to the chefs, behind the scenes and those we got to see and interact with at the egg station namely Chef Gaurav and Chef Hemraj. It’s not everyday that a chef takes it on him or herself to bring you your egg order to your table. I truly appreciate this personalised touch. When I tried to show Chef Gaurav one day where I sat, he reassured me with a smile saying “Don’t worry, I will find you” and both of them are keen to get your order as you step to the buffet area. Last but not the least, Re-fuel functions the way it does thanks to the harmonious team led by the restaurant manager; Raymond, the gentleman who greets you with a very welcoming smile, checks how you are doing, and gets down to business (rolling up his sleeves metaphorically speaking) with his staff when it gets busy, and it does get busy at breakfast sometimes. I have more virtual roses to hand out namely to the Assistant Front Desk Manager Adel and to the Guest Experience Expert Musthaq. When I had a rather unpleasant encounter with one of the talents, Adel was exemplary in handling my complaint. Everything was great, but the breakfast. Service was understaffed, particularly on days w large tourist groups. On those days, staff struggled to clear and clean tables for incoming guests. Breakfast choices were good but very limited for a 4 star hotel. So, loved the hotel but not the breakfast experience.
